  • Publication number: 20220072840
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an intrusion resistant thermal laminating film having a first multilayer structure of a polyester polymer layer and an ethylene methyl acrylate copolymer layer adhered thereto. The first multilayer structure is exposed to UV radiation for an effective period. A first adhesive layer is on the first multilayer structure and is an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer or an ethylene ethyl acrylate copolymer. The film also has a printed layer of a polyolefin or a polyvinyl chloride attached to the adhesive layer. The film has high clarity and is free of a primer. The printed layer cannot be separated from the first multilayer structure without destroying the film. The film exhibits no signs of orange peel.

  • Patent number: 9231691
Abstract: A secondary payload interface for payload communications using a primary payload communications channel is provided. The secondary payload interface may include a plurality of input/output couplers which may connect the primary payload communications channel to a secondary payload. • Patent number: 6459579
Abstract: The invention provides forced-air cooling to components mounted on circuit boards oriented in a side-to-side direction in a system. Airflow may enter and exit the system through the front and back (or vice-versa), rather than the sides of the system. In one embodiment, airflow entering the front of the system is re-directed in an upward direction, then split to form airflow branches traversing in a side-to-side direction. The airflow branches traverse across the surfaces of circuit boards, then are directed in an upward direction and out the back (or front) of the system. The airflow branches preferably move substantially the same volume of air per unit of time.

  • Patent number: 6289901
Abstract: A nail instrument includes an elongated handle, a first implement and a second implement. The elongated handle has opposite end portions. Each of the first and second implements have a connecting portion and a working portion. The connecting portion of the first implement is removably mounted to one of the opposite end portions of the elongated handle. The working portion of the first implement is in the form of a conical structure substantially comprised of emery material for providing a filing action. The connecting portion of the second implement is removably mounted to the other of the opposite end portions of the elongated handle. The working portion of the second implement is in the form of a sleeve merging into a flattened blade for providing a prying action and a scraping action.

  • Patent number: 6074471
Abstract: This invention relates to metal oxides based films and a method for their production via a sol-gel route using metal bis(.beta.-diketonate) salts as precursors. They can be conveniently doped by Group (III), (IV) or (V) impurities and may be used to provide coductive coating on optically transparent substrates such as glass, ceramics or polymers.

  • Patent number: 5957556
Abstract: A computer system includes seveal computing areas which are connected to one another by a number of cables. The cables are necessary to carry information from one computing area to another computing area. The cables can be thought of as the information highway between computing areas. The computer system has a first housing which has a frame. The frame includes an elongated hollow corner post that has an opening along the length of the corner post. The hollow portion of the corner post is used as a cable run.The corner post further comprising an exterior surface having a key way therein. A number of cable guides, each having a key that fits within the key way of said elongated corner post, is attached to the corner post. Each cable guide has a two ends. One of said ends is positioned near the opening in the corner post and the other end of said cable guide is positioned near a computing area when the cable guide is positioned within the key way.

  • Patent number: 5897180
Abstract: A housing includes a structural frame. The frame has several corner posts. At least two of the corner posts have a recess therein. A resilient sheet is dimensioned to fit between the two corner posts. The resilient sheet includes a first edge and a second edge. Each edge includes a feature shaped so that it engages the recess in the corner post. The engagement of the feature provides a fastenerless attachment of the resilient sheet to the frame. In addition, the resilient sheet includes a curved surface between the first edge and the second edge. When the resilient sheet is positioned between the two posts the curved surface is compressed and acts like a spring which provides another force to hold the resilient sheet in place between the two corner posts.During manufacture, the resilient sheet can be inserted between the corner posts easily and quickly. The resilient sheet is bent slightly and pushed into place so that the features on the resilient sheet fit the recesses in the frame.

  • Patent number: 5325263
Abstract: A device for installing and removing a removable computer component, such as a data storage drive or computer card, into or out of a computer housing. The device features a drive sled to which the data storage drive is mounted. A stationary carrier tray is secured to the computer housing. Interlocking angled tracks on the drive sled and the carrier tray secure the two structures together. To promote easy coupling of the drive's electrical interface connectors, the front end of the drive sled has a floating guide plate with forward-projecting locating pins, which pins are used to align the electrical connectors held by the floating guide plate. A rack and pinion mechanism is provided. The rack is disposed on the top of the carrier tray while the pinion is located on the underside of the drive sled. As the drive sled slides onto the carrier tray, the lever-actuated pinion gear engages the rack and consequently displaces the drive sled relative to the stationary carrier tray.

  • Patent number: 5269698
Abstract: An assembly that couples a removable computer component to a computer is disclosed. The assembly has a disk drive or other similar device that is mounted onto a frame and is insertable into the opening of a computer housing. At one end of the opening is a first electrical connector mounted onto a rear wall of the housing. The disk drive is coupled to a second connector mounted onto the front end of the frame. The frame is inserted into the opening until the second connector mates with the first connector, thereby electrically coupling the disk drive to the computer. The housing includes a bearing extending from a support plate that structurally supports the frame and disk drive. The bearing is adapted to be engaged by a lever that is pivotally connected to the frame. The disk drive is secured to the housing by rotating the lever from a first position to a second position, such that the lever latches onto the bearing.
