    Abstract: A sensing unit with an enclosure senses an environmental parameter that includes an environmental sensor to sense the environmental parameter. A processor enclosed within the enclosure receives a sensor signal from the environmental sensor related to the environmental parameter. A wireless communication circuit enclosed within the enclosure receives data from the processor for being transmitted wirelessly related to the environmental parameter. The wireless communication circuit is configured to wirelessly transmit the received data from the processor. The processor and the wireless communication circuit, including the wireless communication circuit wirelessly transmitting the received data, only receives power from a 4-20 ma input signal to the sensing unit from a remote controller.
