Patent number: 10001908Abstract: A computing device can automatically generate a flow diagram showing statuses that objects in a system can possess, and the possible transitions between these statuses. Using snapshots of database data, the device can determine how the statuses of these objects have changed over time. The device can analyze the data to suggest which database fields likely represent object status. The device can render the flow diagram to illustrate system states at different selected times. Each rendered flow diagram can indicate, for the selected time point, the quantity of objects that possessed each status at that time, and, for a selected time interval, the quantity of objects that changed from each status to each other status during that time interval. The statuses can be represented in the flow diagram as status bubbles having sizes that are based on the quantities of objects having those bubble's statuses at the selected time point.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2014Date of Patent: June 19, 2018Assignee: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Richard Stephen Grieve, Martin Hogg, Simon Leaver Lord, Conor O'Neill, James Steadman, Adam Chesney, Suman Karmakar, Stephen Vangasse

Publication number: 20180159850Abstract: As provided herein, a first device may be registered as authorized to authenticate a user login into a service from a second device (e.g., a smart phone may be used to log the user into a webmail service on a computer without the user having to enter a password through the computer). Responsive to the user attempting to access the service through the second device, a login interface may be displayed on the first device. The user may confirm or deny that the user wants to log into the service on the second device, thus allowing the user to seamlessly log into the service on the second device (e.g., without entering a password) while mitigating unauthorized logins into the service from unknown devices. Further, the user may use the first device to delegate the authority to authenticate the user login into the service to one or more other devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 5, 2018Publication date: June 7, 2018Inventors: Richard Stephen Allinson, Chris Stoner, Manoj Palki

Publication number: 20180144926Abstract: Ultra-low-k dielectric materials used as inter-layer dielectrics in high-performance integrated circuits are prone to be structurally unstable. The Young's modulus of such materials is decreased, resulting in porosity, poor film strength, cracking, and voids. An alternative dual damascene interconnect process incorporates air gaps into a high modulus dielectric material to maintain structural stability while reducing capacitance between adjacent nanowires. Incorporation of an air gap having k=1.0 compensates for the use of a higher modulus film having a dielectric constant greater than the typical ultra-low-k (ULK) dielectric value of about 2.2. The higher modulus film containing the air gap is used as an insulator between adjacent metal lines, while a ULK film is retained to insulate vias. The dielectric layer between two adjacent metal lines thus forms a ULK/high-modulus dielectric bi-layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2018Publication date: May 24, 2018Inventors: John H. Publication number: 20180072482Abstract: A soft-sided insulated container assembly has a generally box-shaped form like a school lunch box, having a main body and a lid. The lid is formed of one of the largest panels of the box-structure, and is joined to the main body of the box by a hinge that lets the lid lie flat next to the main body when the box is open. The inside face of the lid then defines a work surface on which to place objects such as foodstuffs and beverages. The work surface may be formed in a substantially rigid molded stiffener member, and may be divided into sub-regions with raised retainers to discourage sliding of objects where not precisely level. The container assembly may include a rigid internal liner with which the lid may mate zipperlessly. The mating portion of the lid may be formed in the same rigid member as the work surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 6, 2017Publication date: March 15, 2018Inventors: Elizabeth MITCHELL, Mike BAATZ, William KEARNS, Christopher EDWARDS, Melvin MOGIL, Richard STEPHENS, Alexander BARATTIN, Jingchao WU

Patent number: 9873031Abstract: A combat training system for competition and impact fitness training provides a feedback mechanism that supports virtual sparring. The system is designed for athletic training and game-play, for one or multiple users. Sensors attached to a target structure may capture data about strikes on the target including proximity to a target, force of impact, direction, and reaction time. A target structure may be an instrumented punching bag, mannequin, or other structure that may move when struck. Data collected by the sensors may be sent to an analytic system that updates a display presenting a cumulative score, and/or for each strike, the data collected and the points awarded. An athlete may configure the target system for a particular session such as which targets in the system are active, a point value associated with each target, and/or the force of a strike required to count as a valid strike.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2013Date of Patent: January 23, 2018Assignee: CELLPOINT SYSTEMS, INC.Inventors: Richard Stephens, Jin Song

Patent number: 9875564Abstract: A map display device stores a map image dataset with image pixels including a plurality of static-type pixels each having only one color value, and a plurality of dynamic-type pixels each having a predefined set of color values, and a function definition field which defines a function to select between said color values. A graphics processor processes one tile of map image data by, for each of the dynamic type pixels, retrieving the function identified by the function definition field, applying a current time value to the function, and selecting one of the predefined set of color values according to a result of the function. An output unit outputs the map image frame as a raster image containing one pixel color value at each of the pixels for display on a display screen.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 2013Date of Patent: January 23, 2018Assignee: BAE SYSTEMS plcInventor: Richard Stephen Hadfield

Patent number: 9786551Abstract: An integrated circuit includes a substrate with an interlevel dielectric layer positioned above the substrate. First trenches having a first depth are formed in the interlevel dielectric layer and a metal material fills the first trenches to form first interconnection lines. Second trenches having a second depth are also formed in the interlevel dielectric layer and filled with a metal material to form second interconnection lines. The first and second interconnection lines have a substantially equal pitch, which in a preferred implementation is a sub-lithographic pitch, and different resistivities due to the difference in trench depth. The first and second trenches are formed with an etching process through a hard mask having corresponding first and second openings of different depths. A sidewall image transfer process is used to define sub-lithographic structures for forming the first and second openings in the hard mask.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2014Date of Patent: October 10, 2017Assignees: STMICROELECTRONICS, INC., INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: John Hongguang Zhang, Lawrence A.
