  • Publication number: 20240091465
Abstract: Presented are apparatus and methods for generating an inhalable medium. An apparatus including a container holding a liquid, a heater for volatizing the liquid, and a plurality of discrete material elements is used. The liquid held in the container is volatized. At least one of a vapor and an aerosol formed by the volatized liquid is passed through one or more of the plurality of discrete material elements. One or more constituents of the one or more of the plurality of discrete material elements is thereby entrained in the at least one of a vapor and an aerosol to produce the inhalable medium.

  • Publication number: 20240049968
Abstract: In some examples, determining a heart failure status using a medical device comprising one or more sensors includes determining a first value of a heart beat variability metric of a patient while an activity state of a patient satisfies an inactivity criterion based on a signal received from the one or more sensors, and determining, within a predetermined period of time after further determining that the activity state of the patient no longer satisfies the inactivity criterion, a second value of the heart beat variability metric while the activity state of the patient no longer satisfies the inactivity criterion based on the signal. A difference between the first value of the heart beat variability metric and the second value of the heart beat variability metric may be determined and the heart failure status of the patient may be determined based on the difference.

  • Patent number: 11845455
Abstract: Novel electric vehicles are disclosed herein. In addition, a control system for an electric vehicle comprising a plurality of vehicle corner modules (VCMs) comprises a network of VCM-controllers. Each VCM comprises at least two subsystems selected from a drive subsystem, a steering subsystem, and a braking subsystem. Each VCM-controller is onboard and installed within a different respective VCM, and is operatively linked to each one of the at least two subsystems of its respective VCM to receive sensor data and to regulate operation in response to incoming signals received from outside its VCM. The control system provides a no-fault operating mode defined by the absence of a control-system fault. A VCM-controller of a first VCM is programmed to control, when operating in the no-fault operating mode, at least one subsystem in a second VCM.

  • Publication number: 20200234193
Abstract: There is disclosed a computer-implemented cloud computing scoring system. In an embodiment, a parser receives unstructured sentiment data commenting on a scored service. The parser identifies in the unstructured sentiment data a service category of the scored service. The parser selects from the unstructured sentiment data text relating to the service category and matching one or more opinionative words and phrases listed in a keyword dictionary, thereby producing a structured comment associated with the service category. The structured comment is classified as positive or negative according to a list of exemplary sentiment data sets contained in a learning seed file. The exemplary sentiment data sets are manually assigned a positive or a negative polarity. The learning seed file is configured for enhancement by the ongoing addition of structured sentiment data, the structured sentiment data commenting on the scored service and having a polarity classification.

  • Patent number: 10594650
Abstract: In one embodiment, a technique is provided for propagating network address to attribute associations between network addresses. One or more profiles are obtained that maintain an association between a first network address and one or more attributes, the association produced from network address observations of the first network address by one or more source devices in communication with a network. A second network address is determined that is associated with the first network address based on a similarity criteria. The second network address initially lacks an association with the one or more attributes. The one or more attributes are propagated from the first network address to the second address, to form an association between the second network address and the one or more attributes. The association between the second network address and the one or more attributes is then stored in an updated profile.
