Abstract: The present application relates to a system for proximity-based social networking, wherein the system comprises: two or more computing devices, wherein each of the two or more computing devices comprises a storage device storing a social networking application and a user profile; a connectivity device that connects to each of the two or more computing devices, at the same time, when each of the two or more computing devices are within a defined proximity of the connectivity device, wherein via the connectivity device a social networking session is established between the two or more computing devices using the social networking application that is stored on the storage device of each of the two or more computing devices.
