Abstract: A computerized system for seating management is described. The system can be utilized in business establishments offering general admission table service, such as a restaurant. In one embodiment, the system can be deployed as one or more portable electronic devices, such as tablet computers. Via an input/output interface, such as a touch screen display, the system can be used by one or more employees of the establishment to seat groups of customers. The system can include a simple and intuitive interface that prompts a user, such as a restaurant employee, to input information that enables the system to make intelligent seating decisions. Via output of these seating decisions, the system allows employees with minimal experience to handle the important and complex of seating management within a business establishment at a high proficiency level.
