Patent number: 8034390Abstract: An automated food processing system and method are provided that allow food to be dispensed, fried and packaged in a suitable container, which may be an individual portion-sized container. In one embodiment, the system includes separate automated modules for dispensing, frying and packaging the food. In one embodiment, an automated dispensing device dispenses a predetermined portion of food from a bulk storage container or food dispensing magazine to an automated fry device that can include at least one circular fry wheel having a plurality of food containing compartments. After the food is fried it is dispensed from the fry device to an automated packaging device. The automated packaging device dispenses food to a container that may be an individual portion-sized container that is retrieved, erected and held into position for filling by an automated container handling system. A conveyor system transports the filled container to a suitable pick-up location.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2008Date of Patent: October 11, 2011Assignee: Restaurant Technology, Inc.Inventors: Gerald A. Publication number: 20030008608Abstract: An apparatus and method for removing bones from a sub-primal cut meat portion, and more particularly, an apparatus and method for removing bones from a chuck blade sub-primal cut meat portion where said apparatus includes a carousel-type conveyor system arrangement having at least one mounting station and at least one meat cutting station. The carousel-type conveyor has a mounting fixture that is adapted to hold and manipulate and orient the meat cut such that bone removal can be performed effectively. The carousel-type conveyor in one embodiment is a rotation table which transitions the mounting fixture with the sub-primal cut mounted thereon to a position adjacent a cutting station. Each cutting station includes at least one reciprocating chisel blade assembly that is utilized to sever the meat from the bone by repetitively plunging and retracting a chisel blade into and from the meat and bone interface with a reciprocating stabbing action thereby severing the meat from the bone.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 5, 2001Publication date: January 9, 2003Inventors: Barbara J. Patent number: 5921754Abstract: A method of manufacturing a composite turbine rotor in which blade coupons are fabricated from flat braided fabrics that have extending axial fibers. The extending axial fibers are then woven between the plies of polar woven fabric which make up the body of the rotor. This preform assembly is then impregnated with resin and cured. The blade coupons make up the blades of the rotor and can be made to have an airfoil shape, a curved shape, or a twisted shape by the use of blade formation tools designed for forming the rotor preform.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1996Date of Patent: July 13, 1999Assignee: Foster-Miller, Inc.Inventors: Glenn Freitas, William J. Hurley, Jr., Kevin Keough, Richard Terrazzano, Brian Tweed, Joseph Boyce
