  • Publication number: 20020111060
Abstract: A connector (4) having a connector housing (6) with a contact passageway (12) for receiving a contact (40), an opening (64) extending into the contact passageway (12), and a secondary locking member (14) with a retention arm (58) that has a retention head (60) thereupon, where in a first position of the secondary locking member (14) the contact (40) is insertable into the contact passageway (12) and a second position the retention head (60) extends through the opening (64) into the contact passageway (12) to prevent the contact (40) from being withdrawn, the opening (64) is defined by a shoulder (66) and an overhanging supporting member (68), the retention head (64) including a retention shoulder (70) facing the shoulder (66) and an abutting surface (72) facing the overhanging supporting member (68), where upon telescopic movement of the secondary locking member (14) from the first position to the second position the overhanging supporting member (68) and the abutting surface (72) co-operate to guide the rete

  • Publication number: 20020094322
Abstract: The present invention provides compositions which reduce the possibility of inducing microbial resistance. The compositions comprise a fast-acting antimicrobial agent and a long-lasting antimicrobial agent. The combined effect of the antimicrobial agents reduces microbial infection and resistance. Articles comprising the compositions of the present invention and methods for their manufacture are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20020051880
Abstract: An apparatus and process for applying finish to an expanded filament array in a quench system with air directed inward to the filament bundle. The applicator may be used inside or proximate quench zones in a radial, pneumatic, or cross-flow quench system. The apparatus includes a spinneret, a quench zone located below said spinneret, wherein cooling gas is directed inward to an expanded filament array inside said quench zone, and an applicator inside or below said quench zone, wherein the applicator contacts the filament and delivers the finish to the expanded filament array.

  • Patent number: 5119641
Abstract: A flexible tubular item having an outer flexible section of hollow tubing with a first end and a second end, a flexible wire positioned within the hollow tubing, a flexible paint layer covering an exterior surface of the flexible wire, and a viscous liquid contained within the hollow tubing. The hollow tubing is a transparent vinyl tube. The flexible wire is copper wire having a bend resistance greater than the bend resistance of the hollow tubing. The liquid is mineral oil filling the area around the flexible wire within the hollow tubing. Ball members are affixed in liquid-tight relationship within the first and second ends of the hollow tubing. These ball members are acrylic spheres having a diameter greater than the interior diameter of the hollow tubing.

  • Patent number: 4067745
Abstract: Calcia-partially-stabilized zirconia ceramic materials which contain between 3.3 and 4.7 percent of calcia by weight. Such materials have a fine-scale two-phase microstructure substantially consisting of metastable, tetragonal domains of a critical size within cubic matrix grains, which domains, in regions of high stress, irreversibly transform to normal monoclinic form upon stressing of the body. The materials are produced by firing a zirconia body containing between 3.3 and 4.7 percent by weight of calcia at a temperature between 1700.degree. C and 1950.degree. C and allowing the body to cool at an average rate of at least 175.degree. C per hour to a temperature within the range 1200.degree. to 1450.degree. C; followed by ageing with said temperature range for a time such that peak strength is obtained.
