  • Patent number: 11431926
Abstract: A high dynamic range imaging pixel may include a photodiode that generates charge in response to incident light. When the generated charge exceeds a first charge level, the charge may overflow through a first transistor to a first storage capacitor. When the generated charge exceeds a second charge level that is higher than the first charge level, the charge may overflow through a second transistor. The charge that overflows through the second transistor may alternately be coupled to a voltage supply and drained or transferred to a second storage capacitor for subsequent readout. Diverting more overflow charge to the voltage supply may increase the dynamic range of the pixel. The amount of charge diverted to the voltage supply may therefore be updated to control the dynamic range of the imaging pixel.

  • Patent number: 11430541
Abstract: Disclosed are methods for determining copy number variation (CNV) known or suspected to be associated with a variety of medical conditions. In some embodiments, methods are provided for determining copy number variation of fetuses using maternal samples comprising maternal and fetal cell free DNA. In some embodiments, methods are provided for determining CNVs known or suspected to be associated with a variety of medical conditions. Some embodiments disclosed herein provide methods to improve the sensitivity and/or specificity of sequence data analysis by deriving a fragment size parameter. In some implementations, information from fragments of different sizes are used to evaluate copy number variations. In some implementations, one or more t-statistics obtained from coverage information of the sequence of interest is used to evaluate copy number variations. In some implementations, one or more fetal fraction estimates are combined with one or more t-statistics to determine copy number variations.

  • Patent number: 11429093
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe coupling traditional fan and shaper control along with aggregated knowledge of the temperature history of a hardware device to optimally manage the temperature of the hardware device to preserve its expected life while also providing the lower power, best performing solution possible. In one embodiment, a cooling application manages the expected life by trading off performance and power versus temperature to achieve a desired (or accepted) lifetime. In one embodiment, the cooling application calculates a historical temperature value for the hardware device which is then used to determine the expected life of the hardware device.

  • Patent number: 11431405
Abstract: A method provides packet transmission of data between two terminal devices via at least one flying object. The flying objects are moving within a given swarm of flying objects and the flying objects are disposed in a grid being characterized by a number of flight paths. One flying object from the swarm of the flying objects is determined to be a reference flying object and each of the flying objects is assigned a position. Coordinate values of a receiving flying object within the swarm of the flying objects is derived from a respective data packet being transmitted. A number of sequential single transmissions for a transmittal of data between a transmitting flying object and the receiving flying object is performed. Each single transmission within the swarm of the flying objects occurs only between two respective flying objects which are topologically neighboring and in direct communication with each other.

  • Patent number: 11430319
Abstract: Cavitation that occurs within a pump of a machine, such as truck or other work machine, can potentially damage the pump and/or other components of the machine. The machine can have a cavitation monitor configured to detect cavitation and/or cavitation damage associated with the pump based on vibration data, speed data associated with mechanical movements of the pump, and operating data associated with the machine overall. If the cavitation monitor detects cavitation and/or cavitation damage, the cavitation monitor can cause corresponding alerts to be displayed to a machine operator or other user.

  • Patent number: 11432153
Abstract: The present invention filters access points presented to a user and locks onto an access point. An access point filtering unit determines the access points accessible by a client device and then filters them to present only the access points that are acceptable under a security policy in force. An access point locking unit has a plurality of operating modes and can lock onto a user selected access point, a security policy prescribed access point, or the access point with the best signal profile. The present invention also includes several methods such as: a method for filtering access points for presentation to the user, a method for locking onto an access point selected by the user, a method for locking onto an access point with the best signal profile, and a method for locking onto an access point prescribed by a security policy for a given location.
