  • Patent number: 10536270
Abstract: A method for message management is disclosed. The method includes: deriving, by a first subscriber node (SN), a secret value associated with a publisher node (PN); generating, by the first SN, a first expected sequence number using a one-way function and the secret value; receiving, by the first SN, a first publisher message generated by the PN and including a first sequence number; validating, by the first SN, the first publisher message by comparing the first sequence number with the first expected sequence number; processing, by the first SN, a payload of the first publisher message in response to the first sequence number and the first expected sequence number matching; and generating, by the first SN node, a second expected sequence number using the one-way function, the first sequence number, and the secret value.

  • Patent number: 10531657
Abstract: A specimen carrier includes an elongate member defining an external sealing surface and a support surface upon which a specimen can be carried, the elongate member including a first material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion. The specimen carrier further includes a cap configured to be passed over a portion of the elongate member to close a region of the cap that surrounds the specimen when the cap is passed over the portion of the elongate member, the cap defining an internal sealing surface formed complementary to the external sealing surface, and the cap including a second material having a second coefficient of thermal expansion that is greater than the first coefficient of thermal expansion. When the elongate member and cap are together placed in a cooling substance, the internal sealing surface of the cap compresses the external sealing surface of the elongate member to form a hermetic seal.

  • Patent number: 10536428
Abstract: In one embodiment, a processing technique is provided that utilizes multiple network address observations. One or more records are obtained that maintain network address observations, each network address observation associating one or more attributes with a network address observed by one or more source devices. Multiple network addresses from the network address observations are clustered into one or more discrete groups of network addresses based on a clustering criteria. For a selected group of network addresses, an association is formed associating one or more refined attributes derived from the selected group with an individual network address that is a member of the selected group.

  • Patent number: 10532381
Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for flowing a fluid from an inlet flush nozzle onto tiered plates in a trough is provided. Material may fall from a deck in a vibratory separator, such as a shale shaker, into the trough, which is attached to the separator. The trough has a main inlet and the inlet flush nozzle that opens to tiered plates. An external pipe may feed the fluid into the main inlet and the inlet flush nozzle to lubricate the tiered plates in the trough. Material falling from the vibratory separator may float on the fluid to flow toward an outlet of the trough. A single plate with perforations may be used instead of the tiered plates to permit the fluid to penetrate the perforations to suspend the material, allowing the material to flow across the single plate to an outlet.

  • Patent number: 10533809
Abstract: Illustrative embodiments disclosed herein pertain to a cooling apparatus that includes a distributor plate and a conduit assembly. The conduit assembly allows a cooling fluid to flow downwards through a first set of holes in the distributor plate and onto a hot object placed below the distributor plate. The cooling fluid then flows upwards from the hot object into a second set of holes in the distributor plate. The first set of holes are shaped to offer a pressure increase to the cooling fluid flowing towards the hot object. The second set of holes are shaped to offer reduced resistance to the cooling fluid flowing away from the hot object. The distributor plate and the conduit assembly are fabricated from a material that is a heat insulator thereby preventing heat transfer from the cooling fluid flowing away from the hot object to the cooling fluid flowing towards the hot object.

  • Patent number: 10533750
Abstract: A cross-flame duct for connecting adjacent combustors together in a gas turbine to guard against flameout conditions within the combustors, whereby the cross-flame duct includes first and second ducts forming a slip joint to prevent stress from developing within the cross-flame duct is disclosed. The cross-flame duct remains flexible during turbine operation due to the slip joint, thereby preventing damaging thermal and mechanical stresses from developing within the cross-flame duct and enhancing the useful life of the cross-flame duct and associated components. The first and second ducts include cooling chambers positioned between outer sleeves and inner housings and maintained with one or more standoffs to reduce thermal stress and gradients or prevent material loss due to overheating or burning. The cooling chambers are supplied with cooling fluids via one or more fluid ports extending through the outer sleeves enabling air to flow through the cooling chambers and into the combustors.

  • Patent number: 10534587
Abstract: This disclosure relates to deploying centralized design data in a development system. An exemplary system generally includes a server configured to perform the following steps. The server receives a style element and a reference name paired with the style element. The server then generates a visual definition comprising design data associated with the style element and paired with the reference name. The server then identifies a development environment for use with the visual definition and formats the visual definition into a local definition compatible with the development environment. Finally, the server transmits the local definition to a developer device associated with the development environment.

  • Patent number: 10535982
Abstract: A transfer switch and load controller that can be plugged into an existing utility meter socket and electrically positioned between the meter socket and a distribution panel to allow switching between utility power and standby power. The plug-in transfer switch functions to transfer the power supplied to a home between the utility power source and the generator power source upon loss of power from the utility power source. The transfer switch components are contained in an enclosed housing of a meter socket adapter that is mounted directly to the meter socket of a meter housing. The meter socket adapter is prewired to a standby generator such that the standby generator can be connected to a home power system by plugging the meter socket adapter into the meter socket.

  • Patent number: 10531799
Abstract: Aspects of the invention relates to systems and methods for monitoring an intravenous (IV) line functionality of an IV device. In one embodiment, the system includes an IV catheter to be inserted into the vein of the living subject, at least one pressure sensor in fluid communication with the IV catheter to acquire peripheral venous signals; and a processing device. The processing device receives the peripheral venous signals from the pressure sensor, performs a spectral analysis on the peripheral venous signals to obtain a peripheral venous pressure frequency spectrum, and then performs a statistical analysis on amplitudes of peaks of the peripheral venous pressure frequency spectrum to determine an IV line functionality of the IV catheter in real time. When the IV line functionality indicates IV infiltration, the processing device may control the fluid controlling device to stop the fluid flow from the fluid source to the IV catheter.
