Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, associating a global-to-local network profile with a user profile of a first communications network and detecting a number of local networks managed separately from the first communications network. The local networks include local user profiles, wherein access to resources of a local network is based on credentials available by way of a local user profile associated with the user. A location of the user is determined and a proximity of the user to a first local network is determined based on the location of the user. Information is transferred between the global-to-local network profile and a local user profile based on the proximity of the user to the first local network, wherein the transferring of the information supports a registration status of the user with the first local network of the plurality of local networks. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Methods of producing luminescence by application of a time-varying electrical signal to an electroluminescent device are disclosed whereby the entire system remains at open circuit. At least one article, substance or material, the “object”, is employed to alter the electrical signal to the area of the electroluminescent device to a level sufficient to change light emission. Methods are disclosed to relate the light intensity thus produced to a property of the object thereby allowing a measurement of the property. The method may optionally use one or more additional circuit components.

Abstract: The disclosure facilitates management of a plurality of related data stores by tracking metadata changes across the data stores, detecting the impact of the tracked metadata changes, and generating alerts based on the detected impact. Metadata change data from a plurality of data stores are received by a change impact engine and recorded to a centralized metadata change data structure. At least one change impact rule is applied to the recorded metadata change data and, upon detection of an impact based on the applied change impact rule, an alert based on the applied impact rule is generated. Consolidating the metadata change data from multiple data stores and detecting metadata changes that will significantly impact the operation of the associated system provide advance opportunities to manage and/or mitigate the impact of the metadata changes.

Abstract: Some embodiments include a respirator. The respirator includes a mask structure comprising one or more layers, multiple folds, and a contact surface region, and the one or more layers include a filtration layer. Meanwhile, the respirator includes an attachment mechanism coupled to the mask structure. The attachment mechanism is operable to couple the mask structure to a face region of a user. The user has a maxilla bone having a first frontal process and a second frontal process, and when the mask structure is coupled to the face region of the user by the attachment mechanism, the multiple folds conform the contact surface region to the face region of the user over the first frontal process of the maxilla bone and over the second frontal process of the maxilla bone. Other embodiments of related respirators and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: The systems and methods in accordance with the principles of the invention can promote correction of an aesthetic or functional defect in a target tissue. A method can include non-invasively applying a cooling agent to a surface of a target tissue; and cooling one or more tissue layers of said target tissue to a predetermined therapeutic temperature, wherein applying the cooling agent is performed such that cryoablation of said one or more layers of the target tissue does not occur. The system can include: a controller and a probe having a distal end configured for non-invasive contact with a surface of a target tissue to cool the target tissue based on treatment parameters.

The position information may include a location of the eyeball, translational motion information related to the eyeball (e.g., displacement, velocity, acceleration, jerk, etc.), rotational motion information related to the eyeball (e.g., rotational displacement, rotational velocity, rotational acceleration, etc.) as the eyeball rotates within its socket.

Phase wandering may negatively impact a performance of a lidar system that employ such laser sources, typically by reducing a coherence length/range of the lidar system, an effective bandwidth of the lidar system, a sensitivity of the lidar system, etc. Some implementations of the invention compensate for phase wandering near the laser source and before the output of the laser is directed toward a target. Some implementations of the invention compensate for phase wandering in the target signal (i.e., the output of the laser that is incident on and reflected back from the target). Some implementations of the invention compensate for phase wandering at the laser source and in the target signal.

Upon completion of the centrifugation, the first layer may be removed from the tube while the float isolates the second layer from the first layer.

Abstract: A side by side vehicle is disclosed having a vehicle frame having frame tubes extending from a front to a rear. A vehicle seat frame is positioned in a mid portion of the frame, and positions a seat frame at a raised position relative to the frame tubes. A powertrain is positioned rearward of the vehicle seat frame and is coupled to the vehicle frame. Side by side seats are supported by the seat frame; and one or more storage units are positioned under the side by side seats. The side by side vehicle also has a rear suspension comprising at least one rear alignment arm coupled to each side of a rear of the vehicle frame, where the alignment arms are coupled to the vehicle frame at front and rear connection points. A distance between the front connection points is greater than a distance between the rear connection points, and at least a portion of the powertrain is positioned between the front connection points of the alignment arms.

The orthotic device includes a base member, an arch support portion, and a covering for coupling the arch support portion to the base member.
