  • Publication number: 20170035170
Abstract: A waterproof housing for an electronic device includes a first member, a second member, and a gasket. The first member includes a perimeter portion, an interior bounding member, and an exterior bounding member. The interior bounding member and the exterior bounding member form a channel in the first member and the exterior bounding member includes a groove. The second member removably couples to the first member to form the waterproof housing. The second member includes a perimeter portion that extends into the channel of the first member when the second member is coupled to the first member. The second member further includes a ridge that mates with the groove of the exterior bounding member of the first member. The gasket is compressed between the first member and the second member when the first member is coupled to the second member.

  • Publication number: 20170035965
Abstract: A medical fluid communication system is disclosed comprising a pump controller and a fluid detector. The fluid detector detects characteristics of the fluid and provides fluid measurements to the pump controller, which detects if the fluid is flowing in the medication delivery system. In the event fluid is not flowing due to an occlusion, the pump controller may attempt to resolve the occlusion or may provide a warning to a user that an occlusion is occurring.

  • Publication number: 20170041145
Abstract: A system for authenticating mobile device users transparently is disclosed. This invention improves on the existing flaws by deriving encryption keys from environmental condition data when the user and device are trusted. The keys are then cryptographically hashed and compared with repository hashed data to determine if the conditions match a prior set of conditions. If a match is found and trust factors are sufficient, the system uses the condition data to decrypt a master key that allows access to secure data in the same manner as would a user-provided password. The security system cannot be bypassed if the device is stolen, as an attacker would have to replicate the exact environment and behavioral attributes employed and learned from the user without any knowledge as to the factors that constitute them because the factors are not maintained by the system.

  • Publication number: 20170035984
Abstract: A humidifier includes a humidifier tub with an air inlet and an air outlet. An uppermost end of the air outlet terminates at an exit port positioned in a plane disposed below the air inlet. The air inlet is configured so that air enters the humidifier tub through the air inlet in a lateral direction. The humidifier also includes a base plate provided to a bottom of the humidifier tub. The base plate and humidifier tub define a water chamber adapted to receive a volume of liquid water. The humidifier tub further includes a guidance structure adapted to direct air entering the humidifier tub via the air inlet to swirl downwardly and around within the water chamber and into contact with the liquid water before exiting the exit port.

  • Publication number: 20170040958
Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure relate to efficient power amplifiers, such as class-F power amplifiers. A power amplifier transistor can provide an amplified RF signal. A termination can be coupled to an output of the power amplifier transistor and configured to provide a short circuit at a second harmonic. In some instances, the termination circuit can provide an open circuit at a third harmonic. A resonant circuit can be coupled to the output terminal of the power amplifier transistor and configured to provide an open circuit at the third harmonic. In certain embodiments, an input termination circuit coupled to an input terminal of the power amplifier transistor can provide a short circuit at the second harmonic. The power amplifiers of this disclosure can be implemented, for example, in envelope tracking applications.

  • Publication number: 20170038109
Abstract: An HVAC controller for an equipment enclosure or machine room employs ambient air exchange and compressor driven cooling appliances for maintaining an operating temperature of a telecommunications machine room within acceptable levels. Coordinated engagement of the ambient air exchange and a plurality of lead/lag cooling appliances provides staged engagement of the cooling appliances to correspond to a cooling demand. Designation of lead and lag cooling appliances is alternated according to a designation interval to avoid disproportionate use of individual cooling appliances for promoting longevity. Multiple cooling appliances alternate the lead/lag designation to equalize equipment wear, and alternation of the lead/lag designation follows an normal operational satisfaction of the cooling demand, to minimize a frequency of equipment engagement (power up) cycles which contribute to wear.
