  • Publication number: 20140163370
Abstract: A method of scanning for an object using an adaptive scheduler starts with an electronic circuit (EC) receiving information associated with the object. A task list is then generated by the EC that includes at least one task action based on the information associated with the object. The at least one task action includes a beam firing required for the object to be scanned. The EC may signal based on the task list to a beamer to generate and send a signal to a probe unit to perform the beam firing. A receiver may receive and process a data signal from the probe unit and send the processed data signals to the EC. The EC may then analyze the processed data signal to determine if the object is identified using the processed data signal. Other embodiments are also described.

  • Patent number: 8374403
Abstract: Various methods and apparatus to detect red eye in a digital image are described. In an embodiment, a method identifies one or more red eye candidate zones within an identified skin region in a digital image. A first red eye candidate zone includes connected regions of pixels of a different color in the digital image than their natural color and exceeds a minimum size. The first red eye candidate zone is determined to be an actual red eye by comparing a red eye candidate score to a detection threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20110246928
Abstract: A method that includes causing at least a portion of a first representation of a first file and at least a portion of a second representation of a second file to be displayed in a user interface on a display associated with a computing device, where the first file is included in a first folder included in a folder structure stored in a memory included within the computing device, and the second file is included in a second folder included in the folder structure. The method further includes receiving user input to navigate content stored in the folder structure, and, in response to the user input, causing the at least a portion of the first representation and the at least a portion of the second representation to move in a first direction within the user interface.

  • Publication number: 20110242002
Abstract: A computing device that includes a display configured to display a first video and a touch strip configured to receive user input. The computing device further includes a processor and a memory storing instructions that when executed by the processor cause the processor to determine that the user input comprises a drag input defined by sliding at least one finger along the touch strip, and, in response to the drag input, cause a second video to be displayed on the display.

  • Patent number: 7831067
Abstract: Various methods and apparatus for multi-level red eye correction in a digital image are described. In an embodiment, a method receives an input that identifies an actual red eye in a digital image and a red eye candidate score associated with the actual red eye. The red eye candidate score of the actual red eye exceeds a detection threshold value. The method corrects the coloration of the actual red eye with a level of correction based on the red eye candidate score.

  • Publication number: 20100122267
Abstract: Avatar data is stored in a management application. The management application sends an immersion request to the application. The management application identifies the avatar data fields used by the application, and any appropriate scaling and avatar transformation. The management application scales the data appropriately, transforms the avatar if necessary, and transmits the (scaled and transformed) avatar data to the application. When the avatar is to be removed from the application, the application transmits the avatar data back to the management application, which integrates any changes to the avatar data into the original avatar data.

  • Publication number: 20070196467
Abstract: A tablet for oral administration of nutritional indium comprises about 10-50 mg indium sulfate, about 4-20 mg caffeine, about 2-10% by weight cocoa powder, and about 5-10% by weight ethyl cellulose, in combination with about 50-150 ?g of each of zinc oxide, copper (II) oxide, magnesium oxide, potassium iodide, selenium amino acid chelate, chromium amino acid chelate and manganese amino acid chelate.

  • Publication number: 20060134202
Abstract: A sublingual dosage form comprises an inert preformed tablet including at least one excipient and at least one wicking agent, with the at least one wicking agent adapted to selectively absorb at least one solvent-borne medicating ingredient from one portion of the inert preformed tablet into another portion of the inert preformed tablet without disintegrating the inert preformed tablet. The inert preformed tablet is medicated with at least one homeopathic ingredient. A person ingests the sublingual dosage form which disintegrates in about 25 seconds to about 120 seconds after placement under a tongue or a buccal area of a mouth of the person. The sublingual dosage form has a friability of less than about 2% and a hardness of about 3 Newtons to about 7 Newtons.

  • Patent number: 4952222
Abstract: A grass cutting device that establishes an electrically activated energy path at a location proximate to the ground. Alternate energy paths are a hot wire, a discharge path between closely spaced electrodes, and a laser. The grass is cut as the device is moved across the lawn causing the electrically activated energy path to intersect the blades of grass searing off the tips of the grass blades where it touches them.
