Patent number: 11961139Abstract: Geographical mapping and linking of security and risk indicator data. Cross-references are created between location indicators and geo-spatial areas based on a statistical algorithm, in accordance with geo-spatial data. The cross-references are stored in a first data table. A credit risk indicator (CRI) is generated for each geo-spatial area based on other data, forming CRI data that is stored in second data table. A security associated with one of the location indicators is identified among security data. A first link is created between the security and a geo-spatial area based on the cross-references in the first data table. Based on the first link, a second link is created between an indicator among the CRI data in the second data table and the security. The second link is used to form instrument-level data for the security that includes the indicator. The instrument-level data is stored in a third data table.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 2023Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: Intercontinental Exchange Holdings, Inc.Inventors: Richard Jones, Vincent Procacci, Spencer Gallagher, Caroline Tom, Ralph Harary

Patent number: 10764284Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which destination device identifiers associated with network devices are subject to a validation process before an end device attempts to establish a communication session with a network device. Based on an outcome of the validation process, a data flow subsequently established by the end device may be subject to a rule provided under a data usage plan subscribed to by the end device or another rule.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2017Date of Patent: September 1, 2020Assignee: Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc.Inventors: Marc Chiaverini, Barry F. Patent number: 10496180Abstract: A proximity sensor including a housing, light emitters mounted in the housing for projecting light out of the housing along a detection plane, light detectors mounted in the housing for detecting amounts of light entering the housing along the detection plane, whereby for each emitter-detector pair (E, D), when an object is located at a target position p(E, D) in the detection plane, corresponding to the pair (E, D), then the light emitted by emitter E is scattered by the object and is expected to be maximally detected by detector D, and a processor to synchronously activate emitter-detector pairs, to read the detected amounts of light from the detectors, and to calculate a location of the object in the detection plane from the detected amounts of light, in accordance with a detection-location relationship that relates detections from emitter-detector pairs to object locations between neighboring target positions in the detection plane.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2018Date of Patent: December 3, 2019Assignee: Neonode, Inc.Inventors: Björn Thomas Eriksson, Alexander Jubner, Rozita Teymourzadeh, Håkan Sven Erik Andersson, Per Carl Sture Rosengren, Xiatao Wang, Stefan Johannes Holmgren, Gunnar Martin Fröjdh, Simon Greger Fellin, Jan Tomas Hartman, Per Oscar Sverud, Sangtaek Kim, Rasmus Dahl-Örn, Richard Tom Berglind, Karl Erik Patrik Nordström, Lars Bertil Sparf, Erik Anders Claes Rosengren, John Elis Gösta Karlsson, Remo Behdasht, Robin Kjell Åman, Joseph Shain, Oskar Bertil Hagberg, Joel Verner Rozada

Publication number: 20190220036Abstract: Systems and methods for managing a fleet of vehicles are provided. In one example embodiment, a computer-implemented method includes obtaining data representing vehicle state information associated with one or more vehicles among a fleet of vehicles at one or more times. The method includes predicting a future vehicle state associated with the one or more vehicles at one or more future times. The method includes scheduling a vehicle assignment in a predetermined set of vehicle assignments for a selected vehicle among the one or more vehicles before a first future time among the one or more future times. The method includes transmitting a command signal to a computing system associated with the selected vehicle based at least in part on the scheduled vehicle assignment.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 19, 2018Publication date: July 18, 2019Inventors: Emily Anna Weslosky, Gary Wu Yang, Nuri Kim, Lili Kan, Varun Rau, Xiaoman Dong, Julie Marie Derence, Christopher John Peplin, Daniel Joseph Tascione, Steve Ayers, Mark Reeder, Robert Eperjesi, Richard Tom, Steven Hanby Williams, Venkata Sathya Praveen Gorthy, Sunil Kumar Garg, Chris Lyons, Yi Shi

Patent number: 9712850Abstract: In one embodiment, a method maintains files of an asset of video content at a plurality of content delivery networks (CDNs) for delivery to users. The method determines that the asset of video content has been distributed based on a first delivery classification that is used to determine a first combination of file sizes and CDNs. A set of asset characteristics is monitored and analyzed to determine whether the first delivery classification is changed to a second delivery classification. Different values for the set of asset characteristics result in different delivery classifications. When the first delivery classification of the asset of video content is changed to the second delivery classification, a distribution of the asset of video content is automatically changed where the second delivery classification is used to determine a second combination of file sizes and CDNs and the second combination is different from the first combination.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2015Date of Patent: July 18, 2017Assignee: HULU, LLCInventors: Eric Buehl, Richard Tom

Patent number: 9078020Abstract: In one embodiment, a method distributes files for assets to a plurality of content delivery networks (CDNs). The method determines a set of asset characteristics related to an asset of video content and analyzes the set of asset characteristics to determine a delivery classification for the asset. Different asset characteristics result in different delivery classifications. The method then automatically determines a set of content delivery networks to distribute files for the asset based on the delivery classification where assets with different delivery classifications have files delivered differently to sets of content delivery networks.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 2012Date of Patent: July 7, 2015Assignee: HULU, LLCInventors: Eric Buehl, Richard Tom

Publication number: 20070143375Abstract: A well-known transactions feature in data replication that takes the “last seen” transaction watermark, stores the watermark for each source in a topology, and tags each transaction with information associated with its origin. The tagged data is called Originator Information, and contains, but is not limited to, information on the originating server, originating database, and the originating transaction. This technology provides users with a method to scale out (keep more than two nodes in synchronism with updates at all nodes), increase availability of data during limited network failures (multiple replication pathways), and improve recovery strategies (redeliver transactions upon restore).Type: ApplicationFiled: October 12, 2006Publication date: June 21, 2007Applicant: MICROSOFT CORPORATIONInventors: Richard Tom, Kaushik Choudhury, Qun Guo
