  • Patent number: 11817605
Abstract: The balancing of the state of charge of a plurality of flow battery electrolytes is better achieved by a method for a battery having a plurality of flow battery stacks in series and supplied with electrolytes from at least two stores, in which the stacks each having a plurality of cells, the method including measuring and comparing the state of charge of the electrolytes of the respective stores and registering if the states of charge differ by more than a threshold and in the case of the state of the charge difference threshold being exceeded: controlling the number of cells in the series connection of the stacks whereby the less charged electrolytes discharge through fewer cells than the more charged electrolytes and/or controlling the number of cells in the series connection of the stacks whereby the less charged electrolytes are charged through more cells than the more charged electrolytes.

  • Patent number: 11508975
Abstract: Means for maintaining level complementary electrolytes inflow battery tanks has first and second interconnected tanks 2, 3. The first tank 2 contains positive electrolyte, 2b, and the second tank containing negative electrolyte 3b. Both tanks have a void 2a and 3 a respectively, for air or other noble gases. The tanks themselves are connected by pipes; a lower tank connecting pipe 4, an upper tank connection pipe 5 with an inter-pipe connecting pipe 6 therebetween. The peak of the lower tank connection pipe 4a is designed to remain below the normal liquid level 7 of both tanks, in contrast to the upper tank connection pipe 5 which remains above the desired liquid level 7.

  • Patent number: 11070678
Abstract: Measures are provided for use in establishing a telephony session between first and second telephony devices in a telephony network. Telephony network equipment in the telephony network receives, from the first telephony device over a signalling link, a telephony session establishment request. The telephony network equipment receives, from the first telephony device over a data link that is separate to the signalling link, a message comprising data useable by the telephony network equipment to identify the second telephony device. The telephony network equipment correlates the received telephony session establishment request and the received message. The telephony network equipment transmits, to the second telephony device, a telephony session establishment request on the basis of the correlating. The first telephony device is associated with a multi-persona user having a first persona associated with a first telephony identifier and a second persona associated with a second telephony identifier.

  • Publication number: 20200336516
Abstract: A method of operating a user terminal in a telecommunications network. A telephony call is established between a first user, associated with the user terminal, and a remote user. Data communications is conducted between the user terminal and a communications server, such that the user terminal has a first connection to a communications session associated with a communications server. The telephony call is manipulated such that the telephony call forms a second connection to the communications session. Both the first connection and the second connection are maintained, for conducting communications between the first user and the remote user. The second connection may be terminated after assessment is made that the first connection is likely to provide better quality of service.

  • Publication number: 20200224493
Abstract: A semi-cylindrical tubular component with grip component used to carry a ladder distributes the load supported by the user's hand. The ladder carrier device and process increase the contact area of the open longitudinal end or the flat u-channel, of the grip, with the ladder rung or side rails, resulting in a more evenly distributed load. The grip device can be used on both ladder rung and ladder leg supported with tension only, and accommodates hands of a plurality of human operators, and more than one user at a time. Additionally, the ladder may be carried either vertically or horizontally.
