  • Patent number: 5263873
Abstract: An electrical plug connector has a plug portion that extends to an integral medial annular flange that serves as a pilot and stop for a shroud of a mating electrical socket connector. The flange has a forward stop shoulder of reduced height that forms a ledge, and a pair of vertically spaced retainer lips that are integrally attached to the ledge and that extend forwardly of the ledge in an axial direction. The electrical plug connector includes an elastomeric interface seal for forming a seal between the plug portion and the shroud of the mating electrical socket connector that comprises an annular body and a plurality of flexible sealing lips that biasingly engage an inner surface of the shroud when the electrical plug connector is plugged in.

  • Patent number: 5023752
Abstract: An electrical power distribution center includes stacked circuit arrays of varying current carrying capacity located between an upper housing and a lower housing, each having terminal access holes therein for receiving terminals formed on pre-stamped metal circuit elements. The terminals are selectively connected to either electrical or electronic devices carried on top of the upper housing or to wiring connectors connected to the outer surface of the lower housing. The pre-stamped metal circuit elements are removably mounted in recesses in a plurality of stacked electrical insulation boards supported within the lower housing and centered therein by guide stems formed integrally of the lower housing. Each of the electrical insulation boards includes raised surfaces thereon congruent with the recesses on an adjacent electrical insulation board for holding the metal circuit elements in place therein while insulating each of the metal circuit elements from adjacent metal circuit elements.

  • Patent number: 4917635
Abstract: A pin grip terminal is disposed in a connector body for engaging a pin contact. The pin grip terminal comprises an elongated base having a concave contact area and a cantilever spring arm which is integrally attached the elongated base by a reverse bend so that the cantilever spring arm confronts the contact area. the cantilever spring arm has a slit which divides the cantilever spring arm into a contact grip for engaging the pin contact and biasing it against the contact area and an elongated lock tang for retaining the pin grip terminal in the connector body.

  • Patent number: 4541036
Abstract: A latch for releasably maintaining a terminal block in an installed position in a panel aperture includes a U-shaped frame, guides on the terminal block at a leading edge thereof integral with the distal ends of the parallel arms of the frame supporting the latter on the terminal block in cantilever spring fashion and defining a lead-in surface in longitudinal profile, and a latch arm supported on the frame between the support arms in cantilever spring fashion including a ramp at its distal end extending from above the frame to inboard of the lead-in surface. As the terminal block approaches the installed position, the guides facilitate final movement thereto while the relationship between the ramp and the lead-in surface insures that the edge of the aperture will engage the latch arm only on the ramp thereby to prevent misengagement between the latch arm and the panel.
