  • Patent number: 8694233
Abstract: This method is for managing fuel consumption of a hybrid vehicle on a given trip, the vehicle including an internal combustion engine, an electric energy storage arrangement and at least an electric machine adapted to work as a generator or as a motor. This method includes: a) determination, for the given trip, of a target value of a parameter representative of fuel economy resulting from the use of the electric machine, b) determination of an actual value of the parameter when the vehicle is running on the trip, c) comparison of said target value and the actual value, and d) information of a user of the result of the comparison, at least at the end of the trip. The vehicle is provided with a computation arrangement and display for allowing steps c) and d) to take place onboard.

  • Publication number: 20110208381
Abstract: A method is provided for determining the ability of a driver of a hybrid vehicle to recover, via at least one recovery device, a part of the kinetic energy of the vehicle during its deceleration. This method includes: a) determination of a braking power generated by the recovery device at a given point of time, during deceleration of the vehicle, or of the braking energy generated by the recovery device for a deceleration of the vehicle; b) determination of the braking power or of the braking energy dissipated by each braking or retarding device of the vehicle, apart from the recovery device, at said point of time, or during said deceleration; c) computation of the sum of the braking powers or of the braking energies determined in steps a) and b); and d) computation of the ratio of the braking power or energy determined in step a) on the braking powers or braking energies sum determined in step c). The vehicle is equipped with an arrangement to perform such a method.

  • Publication number: 20100286856
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle includes: an equipment circuit adapted to provide electricity to at least a body builder electrical equipment and including a equipment battery set which includes at least an equipment battery; a equipment battery set sensor adapted to provide at least a state of charge of the equipment battery set; an equipment converter which interconnects the equipment circuit and the driving circuit, and which is adapted to transfer electrical energy from the driving circuit to the equipment circuit; a body builder interface and controller which controls the equipment converter so as to provide energy to the equipment circuit according to at least the state of the drive system as provided by the drive system control unit.
