  • Publication number: 20240021269
Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing micro-ribonucleic acid (miRNA) signature profiles in a biological sample to identify profiles of a subject to biotic and abiotic agents are disclosed. A system comprises an extractor unit and a nucleic acid amplifying unit that communicate with one or more hardware processors. Extracted miRNA concentrations using extractor unit are amplified by nucleic acid amplifying unit, using a plurality of primers, and statistical modeling-based techniques. The one or more hardware processors analyze miRNA profiling data using statistical modeling-based techniques to identify a plurality of miRNA signature sequences and profiles indicative of exposure to various biotic and abiotic agents. The processors compare sequences and profiles with pre-defined miRNA signature sequences and profiles in a database and on a display, indicating the subject's response to each biotic or abiotic agent.

  • Patent number: 6586583
Abstract: The present invention relates to the genomic DNA and promoters of soybean peroxidases and their use as promoters for producing transgenic plants, including transgenic soybeans. The invention also relates to immunoassays or oligouncleotide assays which utilize soybean peroxidase as a marker. The invention further relates to the use of third antibody, an anti-soybean peroxidase antibody, in immunoassays. Soybean peroxidase may be bound to the anti-soybean peroxidase antibody prior to binding of this antibody with the second antibody (anti-antibody) in the assay. Alternatively, the anti-soybean peroxidase antibody is bound to the second antibody (anti-antibody) and then the soybean peroxidase bound by its specific antibody.

  • Patent number: 6096944
Abstract: Described are recombinant soybean plants and plant lines, and methods for producing the same, which have desired characteristics derived from one or more soybean lines and which are soybean cyst nematode-resistant, this resistance having been introgressed by marker-assisted selection. The soybean cyst nematode resistance is advantageously introgressed using inventive methods with minimal linkage drag and, as such, resulting plants do not exhibit undesirable characteristics heretofore associated with plants and plant lines having resistance to soybean cyst nematodes.

  • Patent number: 5840558
Abstract: Four cDNA sequences representing a soybean peroxidase gene family are provided. An enzyme-capture assay for the nondestructive, sensitive and reliable quantitation of peroxidase activity is also provided. Cultivars having a high-peroxidase level can be efficiently selected, providing a large, renewable source of peroxidase for use in industry and in diagnostic chemistries.
