  • Publication number: 20240083066
Abstract: A drill bit includes a shank defining a longitudinal axis and a cutting edge extending radially outward relative to the longitudinal axis. The cutting edge is configured to remove material from a workpiece along a cutting path during a cutting operation. The drill bit further includes a plurality of scoring elements positioned within the cutting path and configured to contact the workpiece before the cutting edge during the cutting operation.

  • Patent number: 4182053
Abstract: A plurality of signals are generated to represent different simulated picture elements, such as markers, road lines, obstacles, etc., which might be encountered along the pathway of a vehicle such as an automobile or an aircraft. These signals are separated into groups representing height, longitudinal and lateral dimensions in three-dimensional space and corresponding intensity levels for each of various picture elements to be displayed, and the signals in each group are multiplexed together to form a composite signal for each of these signal components. The height, longitudinal and lateral groups of multiplexed signals are transformed to perspective form in accordance with a "perspective" transformation. Curvature may be given to the simulated pathway by transforming the composite perspective lateral signal in response to a curve signal generator. The composite horizontal signal modified in accordance with vehicle heading is fed to the horizontal control circuits of the display device.

  • Patent number: 4145660
Abstract: Frequency-activated channel selector having means to increase and to decrease the lower boundary frequency of a selected channel. When the channel selector couples an input signal to a particular channel, depending on the frequency of the input signal, the lower boundary for that channel is decreased to a lower value. When the frequency of the input signal drops to or below the lower value of the lower boundary, the lower boundary frequency is increased to a higher value. This hysteresis effect eliminates anomalous channel selection behavior when the input frequency is at the channel boundaries.

  • Patent number: 3971336
Abstract: A reciprocable carriage carries means for dispensing hardenable liquid resin and reinforcing glass fiber material on a rotatable mandrel to produce a tank wall. The control system includes means for maintaining the carriage speed constantly proportional to the mandrel speed to produce a cylindrical portion of a tank wall and means for continuously changing the carriage speed at a constant rate with respect to the mandrel speed to produce a conical portion of a tank wall.
