  • Publication number: 20120160081
Abstract: A die for resizing spent straight wall cartridges that is suitable for use in a reloading press. The die contains a pair of spaced apart resizing rings that are arranged to size the bullet chamber of the cartridge casing to a smaller diameter than the charge chamber of the casing to improve the firing performance of the reloaded cartridge.

  • Patent number: 6688467
Abstract: A cosmetic sampler package for a fluid product sample complies with postal regulations for subscription rate insertion in literature to be distributed through the U.S. Postal Service, and also provides a sampler unit having a transparent or translucent moisture vapor barrier layer substantially equivalent to that of a foil film. The product sampler is formed by sealing together top and bottom composite laminates to form a pouch for containing the product sample, and includes a window for viewing the product. The pouch shape includes a nozzle tip for controllably dispensing the product, and a perforated strip is cut across the nozzle so that the sampler can be easily opened. The sampler is affixed to a carrier card for insertion into a periodical, brochure or other literature. To protect the carrier card and the product, a sampling surface is provided on the carrier card under the nozzle so that the fluid product expelled from the opened pouch flows onto the sampling surface.

  • Patent number: 6244154
Abstract: A seating die for use in a reloading press containing a stationary head and a movable ram. The die is secured in the head of the press and the ram moves a cartridge containing a shell casing and an unseated bullet upwardly into the die. The die further includes an elongated housing having a passage passing axially therethrough. The lower part of the passage forms a guideway that opens into an expanded upper opening to form a shoulder therebetween. A guide having a body that is slidably mounted in the guideway and has a shank mounted at its proximal end that passes upwardly into the upper opening of the passage. A collar is mounted upon the shank that contains a radial flange that seats against the housing shoulder when the guide is in a home position. The distal end of the body section contains a bottom opening chamber for receiving the bullet as the ram moves upwardly whereupon the guide is moved upwardly into contact with an adjustable stop.

  • Patent number: 5669327
Abstract: A system for marking trails including a visible tag having a unitary body of a planar configuration. The tag is made of a highly visible color with the body of the tag being made of a biodegradable plastic material. In use, a plurality of tags are fastened to foliage at regular intervals along a trail to provide a series of visible markers which define the trail. The tags are retrieved for reuse after the tags have served their intended purpose.

  • Patent number: 5649465
Abstract: An apparatus for resizing the neck of a cartridge case which includes a housing secured to a stationary head of a reloading press. A support sleeve is attached within the housing such that the support sleeve can slide within a bore of the housing. The apparatus utilizes interchangeable bushings, located within the support sleeve, which each have substantially the same outside diameter but which have varying inside diameters. The bushings are marked with their inside diameter and the user selects a bushing with an inside diameter which the user determines will most accurately resize the neck. To change bushings, the top portion of the housing is separated from the bottom portion of the housing and the components inside the housing can then be slid out of the end of the bottom portion of the housing. A different bushing can be substituted for the one that was previously used.

  • Patent number: 4862567
Abstract: A seating die that is suitable for use in a cartridge reloading press of the type common employed by marksmen for reloading ammunition. The die includes a retainer housing that is adapted for mounting in the stationary head of the press opposite a coacting movable press ram. An outer guide member is slidably contained within the retainer housing that moves between a home position and a stop position. The guide member has a contoured lower chamber for receiving a shell casing therein the lower communicates with a smaller upper chamber adapted to receive a bullet therein. A second inner guide member is slidably contained in the bullet chamber and is also arranged to move independently within the outer guide member between a home position and a stop position. The inner guide member has a recess formed in its bottom wall for engaging the nose section of a bullet as it enters the bullet chamber. As the ram moves the bullet and the casing into the die, both become firmly seated in their respective chambers.

  • Patent number: 4154340
Abstract: A combination reloading tray and die box for securely storing precision tools used in a process for reloading spent shells that includes a container having a hinged and latchable top cover. Shell receiving blind holes are recessed within the cover and the bottom wall of the container. A die support frame and shell holder mounting posts are located within the container which are arranged to coact with the end walls of the blind holes recessed in the cover and the bottom wall of the container so as to securely seat the dies and shell holders within the container when the cover is closed and latched.
