  • Patent number: 9604831
Abstract: A stabilizer apparatus operable with a jack device that includes a jack device base and a vertical member is provided. The stabilizer apparatus includes a stabilization base, which has a surface area greater than the surface area of the jack device base. The stabilizer apparatus stabilization base also includes a receiver section that is configured to removably receive the base of the jack device and couple the jack device to the stabilizer apparatus. The stabilizer apparatus further includes a stabilizing system configured to counteract a side load applied to a lifting end of the jack device while the jack device supports a load during a lifting operation. Related methods and systems are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20160244307
Abstract: A jacking system adapted to facilitate jacking of a lifting structure includes an extension system which is interchangeably coupleable to a jacking device or a jack stand. The extension system can include a coupler portion having an opening which is configured to removably couple the coupler portion to the jacking device or the jack stand and a ram portion which is configured to be engagingly coupleable to the lifting structure. Related methods of lifting and supporting a lifting structure are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20140166954
Abstract: A lifting apparatus operable to lift an object is provided. The lifting apparatus may include a base having a receiving recess and an actuatable cylinder movable between a collapsed configuration and a fully extended configuration to lift the object during a lifting operation. The actuable cylinder and the base may include, in some embodiments, recesses mounted therein to improve a stroke length to overall length ratio of the lifting apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20130334481
Abstract: A lifting apparatus is provided having an elongated support member and an elongated lift member pivotably coupled together to move between a retracted configuration in which a distal end of the lift member is near a base end of the support member and an expanded configuration in which the distal end of the lift member is remote from the base end of the support member to support a load in an elevated position. A biasing device is coupled between the support member and the lift member to selectively move the lifting apparatus between the retracted configuration and the expanded configuration, a first end of the biasing device pivotably coupled to the base end of the support member and a second end of the biasing device pivotably coupled to the lift member. A base may be pivotably coupled to the support member to engage the ground surface during lifting operations.

  • Patent number: 8313089
Abstract: A lift apparatus for lifting a structure includes a base, a bell crank pivotably coupled to the base, a coupling member for engaging a portion of the structure, pivotably coupled to the bell crank device via at least one lift member, and a longeron assembly having a pivoting apex and configured to pivot about the base. The apparatus also includes a biasing device having a first end pivotably coupled to the bell crank device for applying a force thereto, the bell crank device converting the first force to a second force and applying the second force to the coupling member via the lift member for lifting the structure. A movement of the structure is compensated by rotation of portions of the longeron assembly which repositions the apex, the bell crank, and lift arm to maintain the structure in the lifted position.
