    Abstract: A safety device is disclosed for use in retaining an electrical plug or the like within an electrical wall outlet socket so as to prevent withdrawal of the plug by a child. The device includes a base portion for securing the device to the electrical outlet and has oppositely directed bifurcated arm portions adapted to engage and retain electrical plugs within the associated electrical outlet sockets to prevent removal of the plugs by a child.
