Abstract: A structure for calibrating an image sensor or other photosensor includes a baffle for passage of a sheet therethrough. A photosensor is disposed to receive light reflected from a sheet passing through the baffle. A selectably-positionable target member has a target surface associated therewith, and is positionable in one position establishing a width of the baffle suitable for passage of a sheet through the baffle, and another position wherein the first target surface is disposed adjacent to the photosensor.

Abstract: A sacrificial circuit connector for interposition between male and female connector terminals for applications in which the expected connect and disconnect cycles may exceed the rated cycle limits of at least one of the connector terminals. The structure of sacrificial connector is largely determined by the need for connection compatibility between the sacrificial connector and the connector terminals. By making repeated disconnections at the sacrificial connector rather than between the connector terminals, the usable life of at least one connector terminal can be significantly increased, thereby adding efficiency and reliability while decreasing costs.

Abstract: An operator controlled interactive communication device having a display for receiving or displaying messages internally generated and received from external sources. A communication transmission interface which is selectively connected to a telephone handset connector, a computer connector and a modem to allow multiple modes of communication between an operator at a customer site and a vendor site. The communication device is reprogrammable from a remote location or through the computer connector.
