  • Patent number: 8918917
Abstract: Articles of apparel include: (a) a garment structure having one or more fabric elements structured and arranged to provide a close fit to at least one predetermined portion of a body (e.g., area(s) of the body for which enhanced position sensing and/or feedback are desired, such as the lower back, the arch of the foot, etc.); and (b) a body position feedback system engaged with or integrally formed as part of the garment structure. The body position feedback system may apply higher tensile or constricting (compressive) forces to selected portions of the wearer's body, which can help stimulate or interact with nerves and deep tissue receptors located in various portions of the body. The increased forces at selected locations of the body give the wearer sensory feedback regarding the position or orientation of these parts of the body and can improve or accelerate development of “muscle memory.

  • Patent number: 4722375
Abstract: A trigger lock for fuel pump nozzles at service stations comprises a relatively thin, flat piece of plastic, wood, metal, rubber or other material formed to have four pairs of opposing side edge regions. Opposite side edge regions are spaced apart different distances for different pairs so that the lock can be used to hold the nozzle triggers of different types of nozzles in a "full-on" pumping position, different pairs of side edge regions being used for nozzles having different trigger strokes. Preferably the spacings are 21/4, 21/2, 23/4 and 3 inches to enable use with most nozzles used by independent fuel distributors, by major distributors and for pumping No. 2 diesel fuel. In a variation, the trigger lock is incorporated into a vehicle fuel cap, the lock functioning as the portion by which the cap is gripped to remove and install the cap.

  • Patent number: 4423306
Abstract: Welding cable and equipment wherein welding cable is color-coded and comprises respective composite cables that individually have as components a power cable and, attached thereto, a control cable. Color coding may be provided by paint, dye or other means at cable areas remote from natural wear areas. Preferably at least one of the cable elements of the composite welding cable will be provided with a durable rubber or other sheath that can accommodate heavy wear areas and abrasive conditions. Welding equipment is provided such that a maze of composite welding cables can be individually identified and manipulated, used and routed accordingly.

  • Patent number: 3935482
Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic switch circuit including a switching thyristor with two switch terminals that are connected to a controlled circuit. A trigger circuit is coupled to the gate terminal of the thyristor to selectively supply trigger signals and the trigger circuit receives its power from a power supply which is connected to switch terminals and draws its energy from the controlled circuit. An energy storage capacitor in the power supply provides trigger energy when the voltage across the switch terminals is approximately zero, such as at A.C. crossovers. The thyristor exhibits zero voltage switching.
