  • Publication number: 20240255068
Abstract: An embodiment of a fluid valve includes a receptacle, cavity, mixer, and valve assembly. The receptacle has a protrusion configured to engage a groove of a valve-opening-and-fluid-dispensing device, and the cavity has a front end in communication with the receptacle and has a rear end. The mixer has hot and cold input ports and has an output port in communication with the rear end of the cavity. And the valve assembly is disposed in the cavity, configured to allow fluid to flow from the output port through the cavity in response to a valve-opening-and-fluid-dispensing device being disposed in the receptacle, and configured to prohibit fluid from flowing from the output port through the cavity in response to the valve-opening-and-fluid-dispensing device being absent from the receptacle. The valve may include a pressure-relief assembly and/or a unidirectional-valve assembly configured to relieve back pressure during insertion of the valve-opening-and-fluid-dispensing device into the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 7028629
Abstract: A port light assembly for watercraft having an exterior frame comprising a finish ring and a spigot defining a port light opening. The spigot is inserted in a hole in a vessel hull from the exterior of the vessel. The spigot is configured to provide drains to keep water from pooling near the port light. The exterior frame is connected to an interior frame that is placed around the spigot from the inside of the vessel. An innermost frame, retaining a glass lens, is hingedly connected to the interior frame. The assembly includes a screen installable from inside the hull. The frames are constructed from plastic and reinforced by strips of non-corrosive metal. The assembly is adjustable for hull thickness. The assembly is installed without the use of caulk or adhesives, it provides a watertight seal between the exterior and interior of the vessel.

  • Patent number: 7017229
Abstract: The current invention discloses a wall mountable device that suitable for use on a marine vessel. The device has having a stop member with a spring biased piston and a compressible bumper covering the end of the piston. A latch is mounted on the stop. The latch is adjustable for use regardless of which way a door swings. A striker plate and a catch are mountable on a door and their angle relative to the door can be adjusted to allow the device to function where a door does to open exactly parallel to an adjacent wall. In use, the piston spring forces the bumper against the striker plate when the door is locked in the open position thereby preventing the device from rattling when the vessel is in rough water.
