  • Patent number: 12011519
Abstract: An air scenting system for a vehicle is provided which includes an appliance and a replaceable cartridge installable therein. The replaceable cartridge contains a liquid compound to be aerosolized and has a cartridge outlet through which the aerosolized compound is discharged during operation. A pump is provided to supply air to the replaceable cartridge to generate the aerosolized compound from the liquid compound contained in the replaceable cartridge, and a controller is provided for controlling the pump to supply the air to the replaceable cartridge to generate and discharge the aerosolized compound from the appliance. The appliance is particularly adapted for dispensing scent into the interior space of a vehicle, and includes a form factor particularly well suited for positioning the appliance in a cup holder. Additionally, the appliance is designed for use in vehicles when a driver is present and readily adjustable by the driver to provide a uniform scent experience.

  • Patent number: 11033651
Abstract: A method of maintaining a desired level of a dispersed liquid within an occupiable semi-enclosed space is provided. The method includes: providing a liquid diffusion appliance including a liquid to be dispersed; operating the liquid diffusion appliance to disperse the liquid into the occupiable semi-enclosed space throughout a treatment period in which the occupiable space is subjected to entry and exit of occupants to and from the occupiable semi-enclosed space; sensing the concentration of one or more chemical components of the dispersed liquid within the occupiable semi-enclosed space; and modifying the operation of the liquid diffusion appliance based on the concentration of the one or more chemical components of the dispersed liquid within the occupiable semi-enclosed space to achieve a desired concentration.

  • Publication number: 20170049920
Abstract: A method and system of controlling operation of a diffusion appliance to treat the atmosphere within an enclosed space. The appliance may be programmed to operate according to a control scheme specifying a flow rate of liquid to a diffusion means and a periodic operation of the diffusion means. Control schemes may be associated with different volumes of spaces to be treated by the appliance. Anti-fatigue schemes may provide variation of the flow rate or periodic operation of the appliance. Initiation controls schemes may be used to start treatment of the space before the appliance is programmed to operate according to one of the control schemes.
