  • Patent number: 6739224
Abstract: A multifunction tool (10) has a body with an elongated section (15) with tool chuck (18) mounted at the end. The tool chuck has a square exterior (135) and hex shaped interior (139) for both mounting and storing a socket tool (137) and also holding a bit when the socket tool is stored. The body also has a cavity (76, 110, 166) for storing an elongated tool along the elongated section. The bottom of the handle has a blade sharpener (86) or a bottle opener (150) built therein.

  • Publication number: 20010055434
Abstract: An adapter assembly for a skateboard truck (14) that includes two bearings (20) mounted an axle (16) and having two washers (28) and sleeve sections (30) which intrude through central openings in the bearing about the axle and into a center spacer (36) which abut against the inside walls (38) of the bearings (20). Furthermore, an acorn nut fastens the assembly together and extends out beyond the wheel (18) with flat wrench engageable sides.

  • Patent number: 6309108
Abstract: A bearing spacer device for axially separating ball bearings in a skate wheel hub includes a generally cylindrical center portion that abuts and axially spaces the individual ball bearings within the skate wheel hub. A central bore extends coaxially through the center portion to receive an axle pin for mounting the skate wheel to a skate. A discontinuity formed in the outer surface of the center portion to reduce weight and improve airflow. The discontinuity may include a plurality of circumferentially spaced longitudinal grooves that extend along the length of the center portion. The discontinuity may alternatively include at least one radial hole that extends completely through the center portion. Reduced diameter cylindrical end portions may integrally extend axially outward from either end of the center portion for mounting the ball bearings.

  • Patent number: 6109796
Abstract: A bearing assembly (35) for in-line roller skates (10) comprises an outer race (42) having an inner diameter surface (47) with an exterior end (38) and an interior end (41). The inner diameter surface (47) has an annular groove (46) with its annular center (50) offset from a midpoint (52) of the outer race (42). The assembly (35) also comprises an inner race (37) that is concentric with the outer race (42). The inner race (37) has an outer diameter surface (45), an exterior end (39), and an interior end (43). The outer diameter surface (45) has a second annular groove (44) with its annular center (50) offset from a midpoint (52) of the inner race (37). The second annular groove (44) of the inner race (37) is aligned with the annular groove (46) of the outer race (42) and a plurality of bearings (40) are disposed therebetween. A bearing retaining cage (54) is provided at the interior ends (41,43) of the races (37,40) to retain the bearings (40) in a spaced apart relationship.

  • Patent number: 6062111
Abstract: A portable tool assembly (10) has a flat carrying case (12). The case has a groove along an edge side (26) to snap-fit an allen wrench (18) in place and an opposite edge side (24) to snap-fit tool bits (14 and 16) in place. Counterbores (22) function to nonrotatably seat the tool bits in a usable position such that the case (12) acts as a handle for the tool bit. A key ring loop (20) extends from another edge side.

  • Patent number: 6058948
Abstract: A bearing cleaning apparatus contains a cage assembly (14), bottle (10), and cap (12). The cage assembly (14) includes rectangular-shaped vertical side arms (16) which define one or more channels (26) in which one or more circular bearings (20) may be placed. The cage assembly (14) contains perforations (28) to facilitate solvent flow through the bearings (20) and through the cage assembly (14). The cage assembly (14) also includes shoulders (30) at the bottom of the assembly (14), a closure mechanism (22) at the top of the assembly (14), and flanges (44) in order to prevent the bearings (20) from exiting the cage assembly (14) during cleaning.

Abstract: A bearing cleaning apparatus contains a cage assembly (14), bottle (10), and cap (12). The cage assembly (14) includes rectangular-shaped vertical side arms (16) shaped so as to form one or more channels (26) in which one or more circular bearings (20) may be placed. The cage assembly (14) contains perforations (28) along the inner base surface (40) in order to facilitate solvent flow through the bearings (20) and the cage assembly (14). The cage assembly (14) also includes shoulders (30) at the bottom of the assembly, a closure mechanism (22) at the top of the assembly (14), and flanges (44) in order to prevent the bearings (20) from exiting the cage assembly (14) during cleaning.

  • Patent number: 5689884
Abstract: A circular saw (14) has a blower conduit (76) for producing a sufficiently strong air current directly in front of the circular saw blade (18) to blow away saw dust from about the lead guide (34) that is aligned directly in front of the saw blade. The lead guide is mounted at the front edge of the foot (30). The conduit (76) is attached to a funnel section (70) that receives air from blower fan (28). The conduit 76 is self supporting and extends from the funnel section (70) and has a free standing distal end (67) that can be adjustably pointed to the lead guide (34) to allow passage of air flow from the exhaust vents to the lead guide.

  • Patent number: 5539985
Abstract: A circular saw (14) has blower attachments (10) and (12) for producing a sufficiently strong air current directly in front of the circular saw blade (18) to blow away saw dust from about the lead guide (34) that is aligned directly in front of the saw blade. The lead guide is mounted at the front edge of the foot (30). The attachment (10) is a fan mounted about the arbor of the circular saw and abuts the saw blade to also provide damping effect that reduces noise vibration. The attachment (12) has a funnel inlet section (60) mounted against the exhaust vent section (38). A self supporting flexible pipe (66) extends from the funnel inlet section and has a free standing distal end (67) that can be adjustably pointed to the lead guide (34) to allow passage of air flow from the exhaust vents to the lead guide.
