Abstract: Imaging systems include a detector and a spatial light modulator (SLM) that is coupled so as to control image intensity at the detector based on predetermined detector limits. By iteratively adjusting SLM element values, image intensity at one or all detector elements or portions of an imaging detector can be controlled to be within limits. The SLM can be secured to the detector at a spacing such that the SLM is effectively at an image focal plane. In some applications, the SLM can be adjusted to impart visible or hidden watermarks to images or to reduce image intensity at one or a selected set of detector elements so as to reduce detector blooming.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed that identify date elements for a client, determine whether the identified date elements are excluded based on client profile information, determine whether the identified date elements are excluded based on respective profile information of two or more of the members of the client, and provide to the client one or more of the identified date elements that are consistent with the client profile information or the profile information of the two or more of the members.

The system allows for the verification of authorization to play secured content, the addition of watermarks to the secured content, the conversion of the secured content to a displayable form and the means for preventing output of the secured content.

Abstract: A transport packet generation apparatus and method used in a system which delivers content such as movies and music is disclosed. This invention provides a mechanism for providing and retrieving content on a medium such as a DVD optical disc. One aspect of the present invention provides content by processing and packing data packets onto the medium. A further aspect of the present invention retrieves content by reading data off the medium and processing the data to functionally reconstruct the original data packets for use in the system for delivering content.
