  • Patent number: 10960917
Abstract: A steering shaft axially mounted rotatably in a shell and a guide part by which the shell is held. An energy absorption device arranged between the guide and shell has a bending wire coupled by a first end to the shell and a second end to the guide. A rail is attached to the shell. A pin is coupled to the guide. The second end of the bending wire has a coupling section that engages behind the pin and is braced at a support point on the side wall in the event of a crash and the support point is arranged on the side of the pin gripped by the coupling section. The pin has a first spacing from the side wall. A second spacing between the pin and the support point measured axially is at least 1.1 times the first spacing.

  • Patent number: 10040472
Abstract: A steering column for a motor vehicle may comprise a steering column jacket with a jacket surface having a retaining segment. The retaining segment may at least partially surround a bearing for rotatably mounting a steering spindle about an axis of rotation. The retaining segment may have at least one tab that secures the bearing in the steering column jacket in a direction of the axis of rotation. The tab may be connected to the retaining segment of the steering column jacket along a bending edge. The bending edge may form a projection angle of at maximum 45° with a projected axis of rotation. The free end of the tab is bent around the bending edge towards the axis of rotation.

  • Patent number: 6411703
Abstract: Method and system are provided for efficient telephone number portability within a geographically dispersed telephony and the like switching system, wherein ported telephone numbers, when dialled and found non-existent at their number-inherent destination, a “Release Treatment” with a trigger (automatic flexible routing) searches in a database from the originating switching node or office, whereupon their new network node address is directly connected to following normal routing procedures; thus permitting realistically affordable telephone number portability, particularly local number portability (LNP).
