  • Publication number: 20200284731
Abstract: A luminometer (400) includes a light detector (630) configured to sense photons (135). The luminometer (400) includes an analog circuit (915a) configured to provide an analog signal (965) based on the photons (135) emitted from assay reactions over a time period and a counter circuit (915b) configured to provide a photon count (970) based on the photons (135) emitted from the assay reactions over the time period. The luminometer (400) includes a luminometer controller (905) configured to, in response to an analog signal value of the analog signal (965) being greater than a predetermined value, determine and report a measurement value of the photons (135) emitted from the assay reactions over the time period based on the analog signal value of the analog signal (965) and a linear function (1010). Optionally, the linear function (1010) is derived from a relationship between the analog signal (965) and the photon count (970).

The luminometer (400) may also include a light passage (640) that intersects the reaction vessel chamber (610). The luminometer (400) may also include a cap (415) that, when in a closed configuration, prevents light emitted by external sources from entering the reaction vessel chamber (610) and from entering the light passage (640). The cap (415) may provide access to the reaction vessel chamber (610) when in an open configuration. The luminometer (400) may also include a calibration light source (460) optically coupled to one end of the light passage (640) and a light detector (630) optically coupled to another end of the light passage (640). • Patent number: 10469706
Abstract: A copy-evident document and a method of printing a copy-evident document wherein a void pantograph is created including a first set of halftone elements and a second set of halftone elements different in modulation from the first set of halftone elements. An overlay including a white image with a plurality of halftone hole locations is preferably formed, wherein the halftone elements of the void pantograph are converted to the plurality of halftone hole locations. The overlay is then preferably merged with a background image, such that portions of the background image are visible at the halftone hole locations of the overlay when printed. The merged image is then printed on print media, wherein the portions of the background image that are printed are printed at locations where the holes locations are present in the overlay creating a copy-evident feature.

  • Publication number: 20180001102
Abstract: A method of treating a subject includes providing a mobile telecommunications device including a processor, a transceiver coupled to the processor including a transmitter for generating pulsed electrical signals adapted to be coupled to an antenna, at least one memory device accessible by the processor. The mobile telecommunications device is positioned proximate to the subject. Pulsed electrical signals are begun to be generated to cause the transmitter to drive the antenna, wherein the antenna in response to the pulsed electrical signals emits a pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) that reaches the subject to provide treatment.

  • Patent number: 9103115
Abstract: A panel-like/sheet-like finishing element (11) for covering floors and walls, for example in the renovation of old buildings, is provided with heat-insulating and sound-absorbing properties if its interior (15) is provided, between outer covering layers (12, 13), with channel-forming undulating supporting structures (16) filled with high-density coarse granules (21). The supporting structures (16) are connected to the covering layers (12, 13) along the vertex lines (17) so as to provide wet-strength action, and the interior (15), between these covering layers, is sealed by enclosing edging strips (19) to provide wet-strength action, with the simultaneous inclusion of moisture-tight, but vapour-permeable, supporting layers (20) on covering layers (12, 13). If this finishing element (11) is mounted vertically, the granule-filled channels (14) run horizontally.
