The hand guard has a yoke shape with two arms with spaced apart ends for receiving an elastic band therebetween. The hand guard is positionable with the arms of the yoke extending away from the shaft so as to comprise a slingshot.

Abstract: A plant supporter is disclosed utilizing a pole having lugs attached to it. Apertures extend into each lug and cantilevered arms extend from the apertures outwardly from the pole to provide support to a plant. The lugs may have a resilient clip portion such that they may be easily mounted or removed from the pole.

Abstract: A container for stowing a fishing lure to a rod while still attached to the line comprises a hinged container for receiving a fishing lure that snaps closed, the container having a longitudinal recess for partially encircling a fishing rod and a strap attached to the container for securing the container closed and to the fishing rod.

Abstract: A wristband adapted to secure a display element having a display face, such as a wristwatch, calculator or the like, to the user's wrist includes a flexible, or shaped nonflexible, transparent magnification strip. The magnification strip is adapted to be positioned over the display face of the display element. In this manner, the user can magnify the display for easier viewing.

Abstract: In testing the condition of well bore formations as to fluid flow into and out of the surrounding formations and gas emission therefrom prior to cementing a production casing in the well bore, a testing fluid of a preselected density, such as a salt water solution, is pumped from a source through a treating conduit into the production casing positioned in the well bore. The testing fluid is circulated down the production casing and up the annulus between the production casing and well bore formations displacing drilling fluid and other materials therefrom. For an empty well bore the production casing and annulus are filled with the testing fluid. Samples of the fluids are directed periodically to a gas detector to test for the presence of gas emitted from the formations surrounding the well bore. Once the well bore is flushed clean, the testing fluid is conveyed through a closed circulating system of conduits to a storage vessel.
