Abstract: A kettlebell comprising a handle and a main body portion. The handle comprising a loop handle having a grip portion and first and second arm portions extending from opposite ends of a center portion attaching the grip portion of the handle to the cast body portion. The arm portions have distal ends and the cast main body portion is cast around the distal ends of the handle arms. The main body weight portion is cast around a portion of the handle to thereby secure the handle to the cast main body portion. The body portion is cast onto the end of the handle such that the body portion is both formed and attached to the handle in a single operation thereby providing a secure connection between the main body and the handle. The body may only become detached from the handle through fracture of the handle or the body.

Abstract: An exercise device weight section (2) for mounting to a lifting bar (4) of an exercise device (1), in particular a dumbbell or barbell. The weight section (2) having an outer circumferential surface (15) comprising an outer skin (14) at least partially around the outer circumferential surface of the weight section (2) comprising a plurality of resilient projections (16) extending from at least part of the outer circumferential surface of the weight section (2). The plurality of projections (16) are disposed only in a discrete circumferential region (29) of the circumferential surface of the weight section (2). The projections (16) provide improved impact absorption when the weight section (2) is dropped protecting the weight section, floor and associated equipment form damage, and also reduce loosening of the mounting of the weight section on the bar (4). The projections (16) also provide areas of improved grip allowing the weight section and exercise device to be better gripped and lifted.

Abstract: An exercise device for assisting stretching exercises, which includes a stretch support frame and a vibrator. The stretch support frame is configured to define a plurality of fixed leverage points for engagement by a user to perform stretching exercises. The vibrator is operatively connected to the stretch support frame to vibrate the frame such that vibrations are transferred from the frame to the user when the user engages one or more of said leverage points to increase the efficacy of the stretching exercises.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing an exercise device, includes the steps of providing a bar having an end portion; providing a collar for receiving the end portion; forming a weight section about the collar to form a weight assembly including a weight section and a collar; mounting the weight assembly on the end portion; providing a first securing member; and securing the weight assembly to the bar using the first securing member. The weight section is formed about the collar by casting.
