Publication number: 20200221041Abstract: A multi-lens parallax camera system includes a bracket which includes a first plane, a second plane, and a third plane; wherein the first and the second planes respectively have a first opening and a second opening, and the third plane is interposed between the first and the second planes and symmetrically connects the first and the second planes. The multi-lens parallax camera system further includes a first camera and a second camera which are symmetrically and respectively mounted in and protruded from the first opening and the second opening. The first and the second cameras both have a first angle of view and generate a first image and a second image, respectively, the part of the first image and the second image having parallax forms an overlapping area; and a processor seamlessly stitches the first and the second images together to form a seamless wide-angle image.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 4, 2019Publication date: July 9, 2020Inventor: RICHIE HOWARD

Publication number: 20170043869Abstract: A protection element and a protection device for a camera drone are disclosed herein. The protection element is installed between a landing gear and a propeller of the camera drone and comprises a fixing bracket joined to a brace of the propeller and positioned between the landing gear and the propeller; a protection ring positioned around the exterior of the fixing bracket; and at least one buffer stick joined to the fixing bracket and the protection ring. The protection elements may also be installed on a camera drone having more than two propellers to function as a protection device for the camera drone. While an unpracticed user operates a camera drone, the present invention can protect the propellers of the camera drone flying in a narrow space from directly bumping into a foreign object preventing the camera drone from crashing.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 11, 2015Publication date: February 16, 2017Inventors: RICHIE HOWARD, GEORGE TANG

Publication number: 20150077872Abstract: The present invention discloses a device integrating a rearview mirror and a driving recorder screen, which comprises a rearview mirror baseplate having at one rotary shaft on one lateral thereof; a mirror installed in the rearview mirror baseplate; and a driving recorder screen having at least one pivotal coupling member on one lateral thereof. The rotary shaft is coupled to the pivotal coupling member. Thereby, the driving recorder screen is integrated with the rearview mirror baseplate. Thus, the driver can watch the mirror and the driving recorder screen simultaneously, neither distracted nor fatigued. Therefore, the present invention not only can increase convenience of drivers but also can improve safety of driving.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 17, 2013Publication date: March 19, 2015Applicants: GEORGE TANG INDUSTRIAL CORP., IVS, INC.Inventors: RICHIE HOWARD, GEORGE TANG

Patent number: 8761443Abstract: An automatic record detection device and method for stop arm violation event, comprising: a plurality of image fetching units, to fetch external video signals; at least an analog-to-digital converter, to process said external video signal into digital data; a processor unit, to detect dynamic images of said digital data based on a set sensitivity value, when said set sensitivity value of said dynamic image of a violating vehicle fulfills an image block number, it determines said dynamic image to trigger a violation event, then generates said digital data based on said external video signal. As such, a user can search said dynamic images of said digital data by examining said triggered violation event, to find out license plate number of a violating vehicle, and sends it to an agency concerned for prosecution, thus saving enormous time and manpower in viewing and searching through said digital data.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2012Date of Patent: June 24, 2014Assignees: IVS, Inc., Digiwell Technology Inc., George Tang Industrial Corp.Inventors: Richie Howard, Anthony Hsieh, George Tang

Patent number: 8189340Abstract: A mobile digital video recorder (MDVR) has a hollow shell, two board tracks, two brackets, a main board, power board, VSM board, and a storage device. The board tracks and the brackets are attached securely in the shell. The main board is mounted slidably and detachably in the shell via the tracks. The power board is mounted slidably and detachably in the shell via the tracks. The VSM board is mounted slidably and detachably in the shell via the tracks. The storage device is mounted slidably and detachably in the shell via the brackets. Therefore, the main board, power board, VSM board and the storage device are easily pulled out from the shell for repairing, replacing, or upgrading to new technology.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2009Date of Patent: May 29, 2012Assignee: IVS, Inc.Inventors: Richie Howard, Chao-Lin Tang

Publication number: 20080309762Abstract: A mobile digital video surveillance recorder with GPS mapping capability is provided that is carried by a vehicle and equipped with a plurality of channel inputs. An associated monitor can be carried by the vehicle to allow the driver to view the camera images being recorded real-time, or the monitor can be located remotely for playback and review of the recorded images at a later time. The monitor displays a split screen that can display one or more images as taken from different cameras. Video feed from an associated GPS navigation system is piped into one of the video channel inputs such that GPS location with mapping is visually displayed as one of the remaining split-screen images on the monitor. The displayed data therefore presents concurrent images of camera video and GPS video feed so that the specific location of the vehicle at the time a camera image was recorded is presented.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 15, 2008Publication date: December 18, 2008Inventors: Richie Howard, Thomas C.
