  • Publication number: 20240035787
Abstract: A system and method for a modular, low lethal projectile is provided. The modular, low lethal projectile system comprises an exterior shell, propellant cartridge, and a projectile assembly. A propellant mounting area is arranged at a rear end of the exterior shell and is offset from a center of the exterior shell. A propellant cartridge is secured within the propellant mounting area. A firing pin of a firearm is configured to strike an edge of a cartridge primer of the propellant cartridge, which ignites a primer material and propellant within the propellant cartridge. The resulting hot, expanding gasses propel the projectile assembly form the firearm, and upon contact with a desired target, the capsule tube of the projectile assembly breaks, distributing an effective compound into the air around the desired target.

  • Patent number: 11808552
Abstract: A less lethal projectile system is revealed. The less lethal projectile system includes an outer shell and a projectile. A rimfire blank mounting slot is arranged at a rear end of the outer shell and offsetting a center of the outer shell. A rimfire blank is mounted in the rimfire blank mounting slot. A firing pin of a launcher strikes an edge of the rimfire blank eccentrically to push the projectile out. When the projectile is fired and reached a target, the projectile is broken and effective compositions loaded therein is scattered. The projectile is less lethal and getting broken easily for allowing the effective compositions loaded in the projectile to be spread out within a certain range.

  • Patent number: 10822257
Abstract: According to principles of the present inventive concepts, an HVAC fluid conditioning system comprises an inlet port configured to receive HVAC fluid from an HVAC condensation line. A conditioning system treats the HVAC fluid with a chemical or other treatment process to prevent the growth of harmful pollutants within the HVAC condensation line. The treated HVAC fluid is then released from the conditioning system through an outlet port thereof and back into the HVAC condensation line. A trap system can be provided to trap harmful gases created during the HVAC fluid treatment process.

  • Publication number: 20200340707
Abstract: An HVAC fluid conditioning system may utilize chlorine (or other chemical) rods to treat an HVAC fluid. The chemical rod preferably has a length longer than a width (or diameter) of the rod to prevent the rod from tipping within a receptacle of the HVAC fluid conditioning system. The chemical rod may have a substantially circular cross-section wherein the width is equal to the diameter of the cross-section. The rod may have a length longer than about three inches and a width or diameter of about one inch or less. The circular rod may be formed by placing a rod with a substantially rectangular (e.g., square) cross-section into a press and pressing the rectangular rod between two molds, each having a semicircular opening, to form a rod having a substantially circular cross-section. A releasing agent may be applied to the rod or mold to facilitate easy release.

  • Patent number: 10240888
Abstract: A loader may be provided having two or more shell segments or sections separable from each other, wherein the shell segments help define an internal chamber of the loader that is capable of housing a quantity of ammunition for a connected gun. A spacer ring can be provided to fit between at least two of the shell segments. The spacer ring may include connection mechanisms replicating connection mechanisms of the shell segments. When the loader shell segments are reattached having the spacer ring arranged therebetween, the capacity of the loader may be increased.

  • Patent number: 8118016
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and kits for loading paintballs into a feed tube of a paintball gun are disclosed. A loader includes a chamber for holding paintballs, a feed mechanism having a rotational feeder within the chamber that feeds paintballs from the chamber along a feed channel when rotating to fill the feed tube, and a drive mechanism that drives the rotational feeder of the feed mechanism, ceases to drive the rotational feeder responsive to stoppage of the rotational feeder, and periodically attempts to rotate the stopped rotational feeder. Paintballs are loaded from a loader into a feed tube of a paintball gun by driving a rotational feeder within the loader, the rotational feeder configured within the loader to feed paintballs into the feed tube when rotating, ceasing to drive the rotational feeder responsive to stoppage of the rotational feeder, and periodically attempting to rotate the stopped rotational feeder.

  • Patent number: 8104095
Abstract: The present invention relates to a protective mask adapted to be worn by a person engaging in the game of paintball. The mask has a main body to cover the front, sides, mouth and ears of a user's face. It also has a removable flexible transparent lens that locks into a rigid support frame formed in the mask. The mask also has a strap to securely support the mask on a wearer's head, and a removable face engaging element provided to accommodate a face of the wearer. This face engagement element evenly engages around the wearer's face in a cushioned manner because its face engagement portion is made of foam that engages the user's face along the entire perimeter of the face engagement element. The face engagement element is securely locked onto the mask by locking clips that fit into openings on both sides of the face engagement element.

  • Publication number: 20110253009
Abstract: According to principles of this invention, flour can be used as a filler for either an oil-based or PEG-based paintball fill material. In one embodiment of the present invention, a paintball fill material preferably comprises flour. More particularly, a paintball according to principles of the present invention can comprise a gelatin capsule defining an interior chamber which, upon formation of the paintball, houses a fill material. The fill material can comprise, for instance, 1%-65% polyethylene glycol, 25%-45% flour, and up to 0.5% dye, with the balance water. Accordingly, unlike conventional paintballs, the paintball fill material of the present invention preferably contains flour rather than starch to reduce the amount of polyethylene glycol required for the fill material. In alternative formulations, an oil can be used in addition to, or instead of, polyethylene glycol. According to another aspect of the present invention, the gelatin capsule for the paintball can also utilize flour in its composition.
