  • Patent number: 11314846
Abstract: Various embodiments are described herein that relate to visual tools for specifying the setups and data models preferred by a medical professional (e.g., a surgeon) within an operating room. These visual tools can be incorporated into a system which provides various technical benefits, such as ensuring that users are given access to time sensitive information even when their computer(s) is/are offline. In this way, the disclosed technology can address specific technical issues which arise in the context of surgery, including that many operating rooms have little or no network connectivity which could allow potentially vital information specified using visual tools to be accessed.

  • Patent number: 8757628
Abstract: A ball capture game assembly provides a structure having spaced access channels through which balls are removed to score points. The assembly includes a housing having a bottom, a top, and a perimeter wall defining an interior space. At least one channel is coupled to the housing. Each channel has an inner opening in fluid communication with the interior space and an outer opening configured for fluid communication with ambient space outside the housing. A plurality of balls is positioned in the interior space of the housing. A tip of an elongated member is selectively couplable to each of the balls whereby each ball is removable from the interior space by insertion and withdrawal of the elongated member through the channel.

  • Publication number: 20080224576
Abstract: A shell containing axles, magnets, electronics and diodes that provide for a more efficient generation of electricity. A tubular shell containing a spinning axle, fitted with magnets, magnetic bearings, computer to regulate and control generation functions provides power generation at a higher output to input power ratio than previously seen.

  • Patent number: 6561723
Abstract: A high tensile rod connector is provided that includes a first section having an internally threaded surface and a second section having an internally threaded surface. The threads of the first section mate with the threads of the second section. A pair of first flanges is rigidly coupled to the first section and extends outwardly therefrom. Similarly, a pair of second flanges is rigidly coupled to the second section. A series of bolts extends from the first flanges to the second flanges. The bolts are adapted to removably couple the first section to the second section. The first and second sections may be located on a damaged tie rod and secured thereto, thereby repairing the damaged tie rod without removing tension therefrom.

  • Patent number: 5486001
Abstract: An instructional aid (10) for enabling and assisting a person to emulate a predetermined movement such as a golf swing including an image/data capturing device (11) for scanning, capturing and storing the image/data signals of the person's golf swing or movement, and a transceiver (14) for transmitting the image/data signals over a communications network (15) to a remote computer (17). The computer (16) contains a database (17) which stores in digital form image signals and bio-mechanical data of a number of preselected swing or movements. The computer (16) analyzes the person's image/data signals against image/data of a preselected swing and generates in digital form further visual images/data signals which can be transformed so as to assist or enable a person to be able to emulate the preferred swing.
