The present disclosure includes optimal setup data along with content to permit devices operating according to the present disclosure to decode the setup data and configure themselves to provide an optimal presentation of the content. A content presentation optimizer according to the present disclosure provides the necessary mechanism for any compliant device to understand a basic set of control commands, so that any one device within a connected network of compliant devices can initiate these control commands toward a destination device.

Abstract: A method of optimizing link transmission parameters between access nodes within a mesh network is disclosed. The method includes each access node within the mesh transmitting packets at N different combinations of data rates and power levels. Each receiving node that receives the data packets at one or more of the N combinations, selects a most desirable one of the received combinations. The receiving nodes indicate to the transmitting nodes the selected most desired combination for transmitting to the receiving node.

Chroma channels may exhibit similar signals including a bar pattern that can be used to insure the best colorimetry is maintained. Standard signals may also improve compositing and cross media transfers for matching production values.
