A pair of padded members are securable to the lower part of the person's leg and are pivotally attached to the inner and outer side portions of the stirrup with the points of pivotal movement being located at the position of the medial malleolus and the lateral malleolus. A VELCRO strap is also used to secure the stirrup to the person's foot.
