    Abstract: A load bearing support for supporting beams, grids and diaphragms, includes a head, a saddle, and a column. The saddle includes a height adjustment device, and a moment coupling device, purposed to be arranged substantially symmetrically about and substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the column. The height adjustment device includes a plurality of rods threadably engageable with the head. The moment coupling device includes an unthreaded central member located between the rods and slidably engageable with the head.
