  • Publication number: 20230235671
Abstract: A mobile machine tool for segmentally machining, in situ, a component, in particular a component of a turbine, which is rotatable about an axis of rotation. The machine tool has a main body, a support element which is held on the main body so as to be movable about a C-axis along a circular-arc-shaped guide path, and a tool module which is held on the support element and is designed to receive a tool. The tool module is located on the support element so as to be linearly movable. A method segmentally machines, in-situ, a component which is mounted in a stationary body so as to be rotatable about an axis of rotation.

  • Patent number: 11000929
Abstract: Provided is a machining device for machining a rotor arranged in a turbine housing which includes two parts, thereby forming a joint, in situ while the upper housing half is removed. The machining device includes a main part that releasably secures the main part to the lower housing half in the region of the joint, at least one tool holder for receiving at least one machining tool which is secured on the main part directly or indirectly so as to be alignable relative to the main part, multiple telescopic stabilizing elements which can be locked into different longitudinal settings preferably in a continuous manner.

  • Publication number: 20200131993
Abstract: A method for improving the performance of a gas turbine, in which a hub annually surrounding a rotor is machined when the rotor is in the non-stacked state and hot shield elements that are arranged on the hub are exchanged. The method includes a) dismantling of the rotor together with the surrounding hub from the gas turbine; b) horizontal mounting of the rotor in the non-destacked state; c) removing of all heat shield elements of the row which is arranged as the last row in the flow downstream direction; d) mechanical machining, in particular complete removing of the hub projection; e) machining of at least some of the existing cooling air bores and/or producing of new cooling air bores, and f) mounting of new heat shield elements, the design of which differs from that of the heat shield elements which were removed in step c).

Abstract: Provided is a machining device for machining a rotor arranged in a turbine housing which includes two parts, thereby forming a joint, in situ while the upper housing half is removed. The machining device includes a main part which has securing means for releasably securing the main part to the lower housing half in the region of the joint, at least one tool holder for receiving at least one machining tool which is secured on the main part directly or indirectly so as to be alignable relative to the main part, multiple telescopic stabilizing elements which can be locked into different longitudinal settings preferably in a continuous manner.
