  • Patent number: 11614182
Abstract: Described herein are embodiments of a pressure hose having an improved reinforcement layer. In some embodiments, the reinforcement layer of the pressure hose has a reinforcement volumetric ratio (RVR) of greater than or equal to 110%. The reinforcement layer can include a plurality of braided beams, with each beam comprising a plurality of ends. In some embodiments, the plurality of ends within a beam are arranged in a multi-layer orientation. In some embodiments, the number of ends and the end orientation within each beam is identical amongst all beams in the reinforcement layer. The shape, size, and arrangement of the ends within a beam can all be adjusted to increase the surface area to volume ratio and, correspondingly, the RVR of the reinforcement layer.

  • Patent number: 10512345
Abstract: A method of making a double-wall cup having an inner cup defining an inner wall and an outer wrapper defining an outer wall, the method comprising applying an adhesive on the inner wall, holding a portion of the wrapper, at a location between opposing ends of the wrapper, in contact with the adhesive while in spaced relationship with the inner wall to define a spaced condition, and wrapping the wrapper about the inner wall.

  • Publication number: 20160245431
Abstract: A safety apparatus protects against human injury and loss of life by suppressing flow of fluid and broken pieces from a ruptured high-pressure conduit and provides pressure relief for escaping fluid. The safety apparatus includes a knitted fabric sleeve that encircles the high-pressure conduit. The sleeve may be secured to a coupling associated with the conduit by an attachment feature. The sleeve generally reduces the fluid velocity of the escaping fluid.

  • Publication number: 20140345738
Abstract: A protective suppression system including one or more sleeves of expansion coil of energy-absorbing material wrapped around a hose and a blanket which can be wrapped loosely around the wrapped hose. The longitudinal edges of the blanket fasten together to form a protective cylindrical tube, and can be joined end-to-end with one or more additional blankets to extend the protective tube to a desired total length. The system thus can provide improved safety to personnel and the environment by shielding a hose under pressure to suppress bursts, block leaks and by redirecting or channeling test fluids and cleaning fluids.
