  • Patent number: 12070253
Abstract: An orthopedic implant including an outer surface and at least one opening extending through the outer surface for receiving a fastener for coupling the implant to a patients bone or bone portion/fragment. The opening including a plurality of fins circumferentially disposed about the opening for engaging threads formed on a head portion of the fastener to secure the fastener to the implant. The plurality of fins being arranged and configured in first and second vertically spaced rows of fins. At least one of the fins including a different configuration, property, etc. relative to at least one of the other plurality of fins. In one embodiment, each of the first and second fins in a vertically stacked relationship includes a different configuration from the other of the first and second fins in that stack. In one embodiment, the different configuration includes a different length, a different thickness, or a combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 7854022
Abstract: A garment having a fabric layer and an edge band is provided. The edge band and the fabric layer each include a sonically weldable material. The garment has a sonic edge weld securing the edge band to the fabric layer along a cut edge of the garment and an adhesive securing the edge band to the fabric layer. During manufacture, the edge band is placed on the fabric layer, sonic energy is applied so that the fabric layer and the edge band are simultaneously trimmed along a cut edge and welded to one another along the cut edge, and an adhesive between the fabric layer and the edge band is activated to adhere the edge band to the fabric layer.

  • Publication number: 20060189238
Abstract: A molded composite fabric and methods of making are provided. The molded composite fabric has a polyethylene foam layer and a first fabric layer adhered to a first side of the polyethylene foam layer to define a composite fabric. The molded composite fabric also includes a feature molded in the composite fabric. The first fabric layer has a non-woven fabric with a web of randomly disbursed fibers. The method includes selecting a non-woven fabric having a web of randomly disbursed fibers, exposing the non-woven fabric to mechanical agitation, laminating the non-woven fabric to a first side of a polyethylene foam layer to a composite fabric, compressing the composite fabric between a top mold and a bottom mold, and maintaining the composite fabric between the top and bottom molds for a predetermined dwell time.

  • Patent number: 5456500
Abstract: An insertion indicator employed in conjunction with a quick connector assembly includes a base member carried within a female housing, two or more leg members extending axially from the base member and terminating adjacent an axial housing opening. A generally annular indicator member is disposed substantially within the housing opening and releasably engages the ends of the leg members. Means are provided to axially displace the base member upon engagement of the male and female elements to effect separation of the base and indicator members. Guide and limiting means are provided to ensure proper orientation of the indicator device relative to the quick connector before and during coupling of the male and female elements.
