  • Publication number: 20110073824
Abstract: A connector for attaching a hollow baluster to a hollow rail in an extruded railing system includes two sections. A plug portion is adapted to be received in an end of the hollow baluster. A projection is adapted to be received in an aperture formed through a wall of the hollow rail. The projection may include a resilient tab configured to engage an interior surface of the hollow rail when received therein. In one embodiment, the plug portion and projection have axes that are not collinear and form an included angle. An outer taper of the plug portion allows for installation in stairway railing systems having ramp angles that deviate from the nominal.

  • Publication number: 20090293401
Abstract: A siding panel for installation in courses, includes features that allow for proper panel to panel engagement, so that the divisions between the individual panels can not be seen. • Patent number: 6161354
Abstract: Siding panels and intermediate articles of their manufacture are provided. The siding panels include a central portion including an aesthetic pattern and a pair of lateral edge portions which are formed while the polymeric material is still above its heat deflection temperature, and preferably, when the central portion has been hot-formed and cooled. • Patent number: 6047507
Abstract: A frame for a door or window includes a plurality of frame portions, which may be lineals, and a plurality of corner blocks. For a door frame, three frame portions and two corner blocks are used. For a window frame, four frame portions and four corner portions are used. Each corner block comprises first and second mounting flange portions for attaching the corner block to a surface, such as an exterior wall of a building. First and second channel portions are each attached to a respective mounting flange portion. Each of the first and second channel portions is shaped to engage a respective one of a first and a second frame portions. A cover portion is attached to both of the first and second channel portions. The cover portion has first and second overlap portions which overlap the first and second frame portions, respectively, when the first and second channel portions engage the first and second frame portions. An ornamental "rosette" may be attached to the cover portion of the corner block.
