  • Patent number: 10813112
Abstract: A method, wireless device, and network entity for communicating real time data communication requirements for applications running on a wireless device. The method includes identifying a change in a data communication requirement for an application running on an application layer of a communication reference model of the wireless device, and providing to a lower layer of the communication reference model, the lower layer being lower than the application layer, a data profile, the data profile representing the change in the data requirements for the application running on the application layer of the wireless device.

  • Patent number: 8792634
Abstract: An induced loss value is retrieved from a configuration file of an MTA device. The loss value is provided to a signal generator that generates call progress/alerting signals and FSK signals in the MTA telephony device. To mitigate the imbalance between incoming voice signal levels and call progress/alerting signals that may occur because the call progress/alerting signals are not generated at a level equal to that of the incoming voice signals, the loss/attenuation amount from the configuration file is used to adjust the levels of the generated call progress/alerting and FSK signals by a corresponding amount before they are attenuated along with the incoming voice signals.

  • Publication number: 20030129017
Abstract: A display binder having a spine, a first cover connected to the spine, and a second cover also connected to the spine. A support clip is removably attached to the first cover and the second cover. In a preferred embodiment, the support clip has a first ear and a second ear. The ears function to provide a compressive force to the first cover and second cover, thereby attaching the support clip to the first and second covers. Also, in the preferred embodiment, the support clip is attached to the first and second covers along their bottom edges.

  • Patent number: 5906742
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field synthetic polymeric microfiltration membrane materials that are fabricated to separate liquids from solids contained therein. One aspect of the invention relates to a sulfone polymer membrane with high surface porosity (high pore density) and distinctive asymmetry that can separate solids (i.e., blood cells) from a liquid (i.e., plasma) without the need for centrifugation. The membrane is further rendered hydrophilic through co-casting the sulfone polymer (which is a hydrophobic polymer) with a hydrophilic polymer, such as polyvinylpyrrolidone. Because of these properties and the fact that it requires only a small amount of the solid containing liquid (i.e., whole blood) to be applied to the larger pore surface, the membranes of the invention are highly useful in testing devices for the quick detection of properties or components contained in liquid samples, such as diagnostic applications (i.e., the detection of physiological conditions (i.e.

  • Patent number: 4865162
Abstract: This invention provides a roller screw drive mechanism (60) driven by an electric torque motor (50) through a gear drive (58,58',58") associated with either the screw (64,94) or nut (62,92) member of the roller screw drive mechanism. Rotation of the gear drive (58, 58', 58") by the torque motor (50) effectively moves the other member of the roller screw drive mechanism into axial engagement with the brake pressure plate (32) for braking action in response to an electrical control signal fed to the torque motor. A plurality of torque motor driven roller screw drive mechanisms are mounted in a balanced arrangement about the axis of the wheel and brake assembly to effectively apply and release a brake pressure force on the brake pressure plate in response to an electrical control signal to the torque motors.
