  • Publication number: 20180009422
Abstract: An electronic vehicle stability control system includes a hydraulic braking circuit having a plurality of electronically controlled valves, a plurality of pumps, a motor that operates the plurality of pumps, and a suction throttle valve that throttles flow of hydraulic fluid to at least one of the plurality of pumps. The electronic vehicle stability control system also includes a controller coupled to the hydraulic braking circuit that controls the plurality of electronically controlled valves.

  • Patent number: 8423258
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting wheel-spinning situations of a vehicle. One system includes a controller. The controller is configured to determine a speed of each wheel of the vehicle based on information received from a plurality of wheel speed sensors, to identify a second slowest wheel of the vehicle based on the speed of each wheel, to calculate a vehicle acceleration torque based on an acceleration of the second slowest wheel of the vehicle and a mass of the vehicle, to calculate a torque ratio based on the vehicle acceleration torque and a wheel drive torque, and to activate a traction control system when the torque ratio is greater than a predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 6563991
Abstract: An optical fiber cable includes ripcords that are oriented in particular locations with reference to radial strength members and any armor overlap included in a housing for optical fibers. The ripcords are spaced 180° from each other and preferably 90° from the armor overlap region. Color coded or marked ripcords are also placed adjacent to RSMs, with color coding or other marking on external surfaces of the housing to indicate a pull direction for respective ripcords. The ripcords may be extruded with the RSM into a jacket housing or disposed in a grooved section formed into the RSM. Pairs of RSMs may also be disposed on opposite sides of a ripcord to protect the ripcord from being accidentally severed by cutting instruments during servicing of the cable.

  • Patent number: 6223371
Abstract: A method of manufacturing mattresses is achieved by providing first and second layers of latex material having different indentation load deflection values. Each layer is then cut lengthwise along a longitudinal plane, preferably a medial plane to define first and second layer portions of the first and second layers each of an identical height. The layer portions are then cross united and adhesively bonded together thereby producing a mattress possessing a composite load deflection value dictated by the different indentation load deflection values of the starting layers. Preferably matching recesses are formed in the first and second layer portions of both layers. Medial recesses receive postural inserts of relatively high ILD values, whereas transverse recesses at headed foot sections are aligned to define voids at the foot and head sections of the mattress to provide head and foot relief.

  • Patent number: 5961384
Abstract: The present invention relates to a game of skill and chance. The game includes a step of providing a display with a plurality of positions and directing a player to place a bet to play on an identified game of chance. A marker is provided for each player. The player is next provided with a chance device to advance the marker from one position to another. A bank and jackpot are provided for a receipt of a wager from each position on the board. A banker is provided for permitting the player to settle the wager at each position.
