Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for perform offset editing in a digital design system. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems and methods comprise receiving a first input on a graphical user interface, the first input enabling an offset editing mode, displaying an offset editing tool at a first location on the graphical user interface, receiving a second input at a second location on the graphical user interface, and performing an action associated with the offset editing tool at the first location based on the second input at the second location, the second location offset from the first location.

Abstract: Methods are disclosed for type-fitting text in multiple text frames of a page layout application. The text frames are associated with a group, and permissible variances of parameters of type fitting attributes are assigned to the group using a graphical user interface. In one embodiment, to type-fit the text, a best-individual-fit setting for the text of each text frame is first individually assessed to determine parameters of the attributes that would result in the text substantially fitting within its associated text frame. Thereafter, one best-group-fit setting for all frames in the group is determined by sorting through the best-individual-fit settings for each of the frames to determine which frame's best-individual-fit parameters results in the highest degree of text shrinkage or the least degree of text expansion. In accordance with this embodiment, the frames, when fitted, will be uniformly scaled in accordance with a scaling factor.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing techniques for retrieving a first version copy of a first stock content item from a first content hosting server storing a plurality of stock content items, each item having one or more stock content versions, each item having a content identifier that uniquely identifies the item at the first content hosting server; adding identifier metadata to the first version copy, the identifier metadata including the content identifier of the first stock content item, and storing the first version copy with the added metadata as a first designer copy in a designer storage for later use in a designer system; and in connection with a user interaction with the designer system involving the first designer copy, using the identifier metadata from the first designer copy to retrieve a second version copy of the first item from the first content hosting server.
