    Abstract: Disclosed are apparatus and methods of remotely detecting leakage into an evacuated space to detect the location of the leak. A number of pressure gauges continually monitoring pressure, rise in pressure and the rate of that pressure rise of the space. The locations nearest a leak will detect the pressure rise earliest in time and will have the highest rate of pressure rise. The distance between any one location and the leak being directly proportional to the time required for the increase in pressure to be observed at the location and inversely proportional to the rate of rise.
