Abstract: A node of a communication network determines a hash-based sketch. The sketch may for example correspond to a Count-Min (CM) sketch. The sketch summarizes a number of occurrence of an event for a group of UEs. Further, the node receives information representing the number of occurrence of the event for said group of UEs from one or more further nodes of the communication network, e.g., in a further hash-based sketch. The node updates the sketch with the information received from the further and provides the updated sketch to the further nodes.

Abstract: A method for operating a system to provide temporal context for recommending items for consumption by a user device is described. The method comprises maintaining a record of items consumed by the user device or a group of devices within a reference period, together with the time of consumption of each item, and a content descriptor associated with each item. Temporal consumption periods are identified within the reference period, each consumption period spanning the consumption of one or more items with similar content descriptors, and each consumption period is associated with its respective content descriptor. An aggregated list is created of consumption periods recorded over a plurality of reference periods. Clusters of similar consumption periods are identified in the aggregated list, and recurring temporal patterns for user device behavior are identified in each cluster.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and devices for pre-buffering one or more content data items to be rendered at a mobile terminal. In a first aspect of the present invention, a mobile terminal (11, 12, 13) comprises a processing unit (15) arranged to acquire a probability with which at least one selected content data item of the one or more content data items is to be rendered at the mobile terminal, and to acquire an estimated point in time when the at least one selected content data item is to be rendered at the mobile terminal. Further, the processing unit is arranged to pre-buffer a first selected part of the at least one selected content data item in the mobile terminal such that the first selected part of the at least one selected content data item is ready for rendering at the estimated point in time, the extent of the pre-buffered first selected part being related to the probability with which the at least one selected content data item is to be rendered at the mobile terminal.

Abstract: It is presented a data collector arranged to collect data regarding application usage in an end user device. The data collector is arranged to be located in a mobile communication network between the end user device and a server. The data collector comprises: a processor; and a computer program product storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, causes the data collector to: obtain data sent between the end user device and the server; match the data against a list of patterns; and when a matching pattern is found in the list of patterns, store application activity associated with the matching pattern in a database for application usage.

Abstract: A method and arrangement for creation of a customized recommendation of items in a user device (200) in communication with a recommendation system (202). The recommendation system obtains (2:2a) ratings of items for a public recommendation based on public user data (202a) and obtains (2:2b) attribute-related weight information for said items with item-specific weight values for a plurality of attributes pertaining to user characteristics. The ratings of items in the public recommendation and the weight information are sent (2:3) to the user device which then modifies (2:4, 2:4a) the public recommendation into a customized recommendation by selecting attributes valid for a current user based on said private user data, and applying the weight values of the selected attributes only to the received ratings of items. The non-valid attributes are thus disregarded. Thereby, new item ratings are obtained which have been adapted to the characteristics of this particular user.
