    Abstract: A sewer pipe smoke blocking device for inserting into a sewer pipe to prevent smoke introduced into the pipe from leaking therepast, having a hollow cylindrical housing adapted for receipt into the sewer pipe. An inflatable bladder surrounds the outer circumference of the housing and a gate assembly is mounted at one end of the housing to selectively close the hollow of the housing to just below the level of sewer water flowing therethrough.
