Abstract: A system and method to reduce water spray from one or more truck tires of a truck driving through rain on a water covered road. A combination centrifuge and air compressor device collects a mixture of air and rainwater, to separate the air from the rainwater and to compress the air. An air distribution manifold system directs the compressed air from the combination centrifuge and air compressor device onto an area of the water covered road in front of one or more of the truck's tires so that the water from the area rises up from the road. Then a shield barrier channels the water that rises up from the area on the road away from one or more of the truck's tires.

Abstract: Drawing conversion assignment and management systems are provided that typically include receiving logic, a database, assignment logic, and completion logic. The receiving logic typically receives notification of completion of a land base drawing file. The database creates a drawing conversion job record associated with the land base drawing file. The assignment logic assigns the drawing conversion job record to a draftsman and instructs the database to record the assignment. The completion logic typically receives a request to close the drawing conversion job record, and instructs the database to mark the drawing conversion job record as closed. Methods and other systems are also provided.

Abstract: Fiber splice assignment and management systems are provided that include a database, assignment logic, and completion logic. The database can typically store a fiber splice record associated with a wirecenter. The assignment logic assigns a fiber splice record associated with a fiber splice job for the wirecenter to a draftsman and records the assignment. The completion logic typically receives a request to close the fiber splice record, and receives a credit amount associated with the fiber splice job from a fiber splice manager. Methods and other systems are also provided.

The receiving logic typically receives a request from a user to split a plat. The request can include information about a location of a congested plat. The database stores the request with any previously received open requests. The assignment logic prioritizes requests, assigns an open request to a draftsman, and instructs the database to record the assignment. The completion logic typically instructs the database to close an open request responsive to an input from the draftsman. Other systems and methods are further provided.

Abstract: The present invention is directed toward an apparatus for insertion of coupons or other material into hinge lid pack cigarettes. The apparatus of the present invention inserts the coupons in between the foil wrapped pack of cigarettes and the inner frame portion of the hinged lid pack. The apparatus of the present invention is comprised of a coupon inserter, a third wheel pocket and rail system wherein the pockets travel rotationally with the third wheel after receiving a coupon and thereafter allow the foil wrapped cigarette pack to be inserted thereon. The rail of the hinged lid pack assembly machine has been modified to receive these coupons in conjunction with the coupon multistage inserter or dispenser and all act cooperatively such that the coupons are inserted in timed relation to the rotational speed of the third wheel of the packager.
