  • Patent number: 11407596
Abstract: A method for establishing and transmitting the status parameters of a conveyor and it's articles accumulated includes recording a first signal and a second signal with the first signal received from at least one sensor of a plurality of sensors in a conveyor zone and the second signal transmitted in response to receiving the first signal. The first signal is indicative of an article presence status in the conveyor zone and the second signal is indicative of an actuation status of the conveyor zone. Further, the method includes storing the first signal and the second signal recorded over a periodic scan cycle in a memory to create a historical log of the first signal and the second signal.

  • Patent number: 5910199
Abstract: A method and apparatus for fast threading pullout in a numerically controlled threading application which includes position determining logic for receiving position command signals from a numerical control and determining the commanded movement of a threading member along at least a primary threading axis and a secondary pullout axis, at least one sensing device for sensing the position of the threading member along at least the primary and secondary axes, velocity calculation structure for generating velocity command signals for actuating the threading member along the primary and secondary axes in accordance with the commanded movements and the sensed position of the member, supplemental velocity structure for applying a supplemental pullout velocity at a predetermined pullout position on the thread to accelerate the member along the secondary axis, and monitoring logic for monitoring the pullout of the threading member along the secondary axis and discontinuing the supplemental velocity after a predetermin

  • Patent number: 5610489
Abstract: A control for machine members propelled at plural points along their length to move linearly transverse to member length determines and eliminates skew of the driven points. Skew is determined from position indicated by position transducers associated with the driven points. Various types of position transducers are accommodated, including encoders having outputs from which member position can be determined only with reference to marker outputs of the transducer. For such encoders, the control effects velocity controlled motion to detect position. Skew is eliminated by relatively moving the driven points by the magnitude of the skew.

  • Patent number: 5373205
Abstract: A method and apparatus for limiting current through a switching device supplying current to a load. A control evaluates a model representing the switching device temperature as a nonlinear function of current and time. The model compares the temperature of the switching device to a maximum allowable temperature. The current limit is defaulted to peak current; and in response to the model detecting a temperature in excess of the maximum allowable temperature, a nominal current limit is set. The current limit reset to peak current after the model detects a switching device temperature a predetermined magnitude below the maximum allowable temperature.
